I hate it, with Mason and Joe back we could have been very formidable. But now???

We'll need a couple of the freshmen to step up for sure. But the overall talent on the roster should be much better IMO with the size coming in.

One of the top available transfers in the portal in Evansville transfer DeAndre Williams cut his list to four on Sunday, including Arkansas. Unless the NCAA passes a one-time penalty-free transfer exception, Williams would have to sit out one year due to NCAA transfer rules.

In addition to Arkansas, Daniels is considering Kentucky, Memphis and Baylor.

Who tf is Daniels and who wrote that article to have totally different names?

Also for the Evansville transfer, I read he was already 23 and while entertaining NBA draft possibilities I have doubt he sits out all next year to play the following year without turning pro after next season.

Looks like we are currently on

DeAndre Williams (Evansville)
Frank Anselem (114th rated 2020 prospect)
Joe Pridgen (Holy Cross)
Nike Sibande (Miami (OH))

Not a bad "back up" plan if Joe leaves. Nice to have flexibility with this last spot. I would argue that it could be better to have a player above sit one year.

KK Robinson went from #76 all the way to #36 in 247's final basketball player rankings for 2020. Actually puts him one spot ahead of Moody for the highest ranked recruit in our class

KK Robinson with a huge jump in the Final 247 rankings.

quote:

Other notable movers include Arkansas signee KK Robinson. Robinson the Bryant (Ark.) native moved from No. 76 overall up to No. 36 after a strong season at Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill.

Moody up inside top 40.

quote:

Four-star guard Moses Moody also saw a rise in his final ranking, going from No. 46 to No. 37 -- one spot behind Robinson -- in Wednesday's final list.

quote:

The only Arkansas signee who fell in 247Sports' final rankings was Fort Smith (Ark.) Northside big man Jaylin Williams, who saw a small slide from No. 80 down to No. 85.

quote:

Arkansas' lone early signee, four-star guard Davonte Davis, remained outside of the Top 150 in the final rankings.

If this was football Kk would have fallen outside top 100 as would Williams and Moody would slide to about 80.

So bad. Burks is clearly closer to a 5* than someone dropping the whole way.

Judging by our recruits, the only thing that saved KK and Moses is leaving the state

I think KK deserved a big bump, but just kind of shows you how strong exposure/perception is for these rankings. Oak Hill helped him alot in that regard.

Yeah Moses said in an interview recently that it was crazy the difference in exposure on social media he got on the same type of plays he made in Arkansas vs. the ones he made this past year. I think Arkansas HS basketball is pretty damn good product-wise but being a small state definitely hurts our high school players get noticed by the casual national fan.

He said he really missed home though and that was a big reason he decided to come back and sign with us so it may be a good thing if more of our players play elsewhere, get the "away from home" experience out of the way before college lol.
