Said he can play SS or 3B for us as well. Plays both positions.

FSS+ ranks him #23 for 2025 draft right now.

- OF Jack Wagner (Tarleton State)
- OF Ty Wilmsmeyer (Missouri)
- SS Wehiwa Aloy (Sacramento State)
- OF William Edmonson (Hutchinson Community College)

I feel much better about this year's transfer portal class than I did last year.

May mean nothing in the long run, but I'll feel better until February, at least.

The Arkansas baseball team has landed its first pitcher from the transfer portal this offseason, as former Kansas left-handed pitcher Stone Hewlett announced his commitment to the Diamond Hogs on Tuesday via Twitter.
quote:

As a junior for the Jayhawks in 2023, Hewlett finished the season with a 4.68 ERA in 42.1 innings pitched as a relief pitcher. He gave up 43 hits and 22 earned runs in that span and he also recorded three saves on the year.

Hewlett struck out 42 batters and walked 13 during his junior campaign. Batters hit .281 against him and his longest outing came against Oakland, when he lasted 3.1 innings and struck out four batters.

Really good control from the left side, nice offspeed pitch. Should be a good option, got better all 3 years at KU.

SIAP

Arkansas commit Mark Brissey (Arkansas Sticks) on a performance he'll never forget

"I felt like this is the worst day of my life, and I end up throwing a no-hitter."

Arkansas-bound Mark Brissey (Arkansas Sticks) tells Cory McCartney about a performance the Batesville righty will never forget, and shows off his pitch grips.

UF is also thought to be the favorite for former Clemson DH/1B Amich. He was their 2nd best hitter this year. UF and LSU will easily have the top transfer portal classes. Our staff just seems so quiet on the bb recruiting front compared to those teams, Tennessee, USCe, and even TCU.

Ehhh.

Aloy is the top get in the portal. Mocked #23 overall for 2025 draft. We beat out all of those guys.

Gotta think a big part of that is our high school class making the coaches feel good about where we’re at but I agree, with the top high school prospects normally signing to go pro the transfer portal for baseball seems bigger than even basketball or football

Adam Hachman, LHP, withdraws from the MLB Draft.

Had surgery this year so likely won't see him in 2024 but should be a key pitcher in 2025 and 2026.
