Anyone else following this open records request?

UA and Razorback Foundation have been stonewalling FOIA requests, but now have reversed course and are releasing 20,000 pages of emails.
We all know RF doesn't "operate independently" and apparently it is well known in the Arkansas legal community there is precedent for RF to spill the beans if asked. Well now people are asking, and the emails are being released "on a rolling basis". Wtf does that even mean
Does anyone think this will lead to something? I see this as backlash against the LR trustees to keep them in check

Thought this was going to be about the sexual harrasment issue.

I spend most of my time on the poliboard. Bump this thread with more details as you learn them. This could be interesting stuff.

One thing I've learned is there's no batch of 20,000 pages of emails that's entirely clean. They'll find something
I'm glad Arkansans are demanding some transparency. Just wish it was about something that actually mattered rather than this. Oh well, it's a start

Yes,
Very interested in seeing if the the RF will take the side of transparency and want to see what steps they will take to completely shut out the public from thinking they deserve a right to see private info.
Only good can come out of this witch hunt.

Clinton Foundation hiding through back channels? 20k emails?!?

RF should bleach bit, smash all phones with hammer, and only release emails that cover birthdays, yoga and weddings.
This will only make the RF stronger

Is it safe to assume that this is about the alleged misappropriation of funds that led to Long being fired? I don't know that this is all a good thing. Some folks may end up with egg on their faces. Like someone else already said, there's no such thing as a clean chain of 20,000 emails.

What I've learned from my experience with lawyers and politicos in Arkansas is they don't raise hell like this in court without already knowing the answers to their questions.
They are trying to expose something they already know about, or take someone out.
Everyone knows the RF is intimately intertwined and connected to UA. If they thought some type of handshake agreement or wink and nod would protect them from an inevitable FOIA than they deserve to get fricked. They could have powerful people on our Supreme Court though
On the other side of things, it seems like this "worst kept secret" of the City of Fayetteville case was being saved for an important situation. Seems like someone was playing rope-a-dope and RF is about to get knocked out

Right. Why would anyone care about this at all? I just don’t see it.

Contract details were released today in the Democrat. The $15.4 million IS the absolute correct number, because there's a clause that says that's the number. The $11.8 number came from an espn report that said it was the "negotiated" amount, but nothing has been finalized at all.
I figure Bert and Co. Are putting up a fight to get all 15.4 and his camp didn't want the actual contract out there to make him look greedy.
So, when all is said and done, there have been 2 erroneous reported numbers out there and the 15.4 was correct all along.
So, for 5 years and the worst stretch of football in seven decades... Bert will probably walk away with $35 million when including yearly salary plus buyout.
Fukkkkk.... Where do I sign up to become a glorified gym teacher...

Excellent work by Long but even better oversight by our esteemed BOT signing off on that extension including a huge buyout even after being here for two seasons.
Year two finish 7-6 beating a terrible Texas team, 2-14 in SEC games, get escalating yearly raise of $100k, extension of years through 2020 and absurd buyout.
Huge tip of the cap to the ADG with that $5.9 million buyout report.
