The two takeaways are:

1. Yet more proof that our state media is a fricking joke, which should surprise no one.

2. Long absolutely deserved to get fired for that extension after the 2014 season. You don’t give a raise, extension, and an astronomical buyout to a coach sitting on a 2-14 conference record. If Bert would have won 10 games in year 2, it’s a different story. The buyout never made sense under any circumstance.
