I'm getting deadly with the fly rods. Have them all rigged up and I run out and 'yard cast' anytime it quits raining. It'll cost me a couple new fly lines but I'm shooting a 5wt 90 feet with decent accuracy. I'm outa room in my yard so that's gonna be my limit for now.

Using dog bowls, rocks and sticks as targets unless I can sneak my wife's mini poodle out. He makes a great moving target and I take some perverse pleasure in chasing him around the yard with the yarn I have tied on.

When it rains, I watch Youtube videos on how to improve distance and accuracy. Now I need fish.

Sorta but sorta not- what’s a gal gotta do to get quarantined? I could REALLY use a few days off! It’s like everyone else is getting snow days but me!

Went fishing yesterday with pops. The beaver is still running about 50 degrees. Next few weeks fishing will really pick up.

Get your yard in tip top shape. Finish some projects. Everybody has stuff they can do. Take pleasure in being able to focus entirely on doing a great job on your house and yard.

Went to the pond. Just took an ultra light casting rod and a purple worm with a fire tail. My friends I don't remember having so much fun.

No more than 3 casts that I didn't have a bite.

Kept 4 bass ~1.5lbs each as fat and clean as you'd want.

Just finished filleted them and put them up. Going back tomorrow with a fly rod as the bluegills are moving onto bed.

Plan on bringing home a Home Depot bucket half full, spoon scraping them, and inviting some neighbors over for an early spring fish fry.

Hard times we're all going through right now but this transplanted country boy had the time of his life.

God's blessing to all my friends here but let's take this time to enjoy life, be thankful, and get our shite packed tight.

If you have a chance then do as I did today....something you haven't done in a while but gives you entertainment and peace.

Wasn't expecting the fishing to be good on the Beaver today. We had 4 inches of rain and a cold front that came through yesterday.

Turns out the fishing was surprisingly good. Fished from about 11 to 3:30 and caught about 15. All but one was a keeper.

We caught Smallmouth, Kentucky's, and Black bass. And I randomly caught a 6lb striper in 6 ft of water. Biggest bass weighed about 3 lb.

Fish are moving up, and were extremely aggressive today.

We bugged out to Bella Vista lake house. Life is pretty good right now. Working remotely and riding bikes and hiking trails daily as well as cooking large, complicated meals. My work is stable but wife owns two businesses that are currently okay but can't go long term in this climate.

Right now, though, I'm enjoying the hell outta my family and riding bikes. I know things will get worse, so just trying to enjoy this.

God bless, seriously bless y’all. I have teased lately that I’m a little jealous of everyone else getting ‘snow days’ besides me but I know I’d be pulling my hair out after 2 days. It’s already weird enough just the social distancing thing.

Have a safe week everyone.

Spent the weekend on White Rock mountain, Shores Lake and the Mulberry. Fishing and 4 wheeling trails.

I have client’s canceling jobs right and left because of this shite. Oh well, more camping and fishing time isn’t such a bad thing.

I worked from home before all this started but its still been a disaster for me financially. Clients aren't open so they aren't posting work. Thankfully I got very paranoid about being broke a while back and I've been rat holing money away ever since. I should be good for the rest of year.

It is weird though. I'm a homebody. I don't like crowds thank you. And... now that I can't... I want to get out and mingle. Perhaps I've been hanging around my cat too much and I'm picking up her habit of being contrarian.
