Just in case this hammer down shite gets just that, hammered down?

I'd like to hire a legit coach next time.

Might have to be in the Razorback Foundation to get a clear answer on that.

Last I recall they made an abrupt decision to quit paying Bielema’s buyout with him not pursuing similar HC position and being an analyst, he’s since got the bump to DL coach.

Anderson’s last extension included $1mil for each year remaining on the contract.

Man those frickers are dumb.

Hopefully they get Leach if they have to go that route.

But lets hope Morris is successful. Would definitely be better for us in the long run if he at least has some short-term success. A total failure may nuke our program until Saban retires

Don't forget you got the buyout of the ego frick Jeff Long in there as well. "I" White hired Long once he finally managed to beat Broyles. Remember it was Whites stated goal to "de-emphasize" athletics. We are in this mess because of those two and Broyles age.

Is this for real? That's a pretty big cost savings if true.

ETA: I found the KATV piece about the RF "reevaluating" the buyout and Bielema's efforts to secure another gig. Here's hoping we can save some of that sunk cost.

Never. That "genius businessman" Jeff Long "closed great deals"... For the coaches! He even got himself done of those great deals. Meanwhile we're screwed.

We also have the stadium expansion weighing us down financially. Expanding into a nationwide trend of lower attendance. Another genius business move

FYI, Chad's buyout before Jan. 1 is like $12 million. I think in total they spent $35 million firing Bert and hiring Chad.

It would be another similar chunk to fire him. We're so fricked.

quote:

Jan. 1, 2019: $12.25M
Jan. 1, 2020: $9.8M
Jan. 1, 2021: $7.35M
Jan. 1, 2022: $4.9M
Jan. 1, 2023: $3.5M

That looks pretty bad, but Yurachek has said that he considers it "with cause" if he fires a coach for losing too much. So maybe that would save us from the buyout?

If losing is justified, no one would ever fire a coach "without cause" again, so these buyouts would be done. Of course that involves Yurachek breaking decades of precedent and getting legal departments to agree with his view

I'm not sure if the power has eroded from coaches to ADs to that level yet

Yurachek actually seems to have some fire to him, and Chad was technically not his hire. According to Irwin, JCP made the hire along with the board, and Yurachek kind of had no choice.

If he goes the legal route more power to him. Shows he has more balls than most.
