Law of averages says we are due for a stellar offensive performance at some point

Not that long ago I was fairly certain we were a bubble team at best and likely NIT bound. Not terrible for a rebuilding year where we are just trying to hold down the fort until our huge recruiting class gets here.

Yet here we are still dancing. With our defense we at least have a puncher's chance of hanging in there with everyone left in the tournament. We beat Auburn and Auburn spent a good amount of time squatting at the number 1 ranking.

If we can just get one game where Umude and Notae are hitting their shots...and JWill can get 10+ and 10+...Is that too much to ask?

Muss said they spent all their time between games on defensive prep. With 5 days to prepare for the zags I bet we see a much better offensive game plan to attack any zag defensive weakness.

I’ve watched the zags in both of their first 2 games. Georgia state was playing with them for a half and Memphis probably does beat them with better coaching., he’ll they had a double digit lead in the 2nd half. The zags can score, especially if timme takes over, which he has done pretty much both games to secure the win for them, but they don’t play great defense and tbh Chet is charmin soft. Imagine a softer white kd. I mean the kid is 7’ 160 pounds he’s weak af and can be bullied out of position down low.

If we can keep Chet outside jacking jumpshots, that will help. He hasn’t been great from deep. Heard he was like 1-17 or something last night.

Timme is going to be a tough out for Jwill. Toney on Nembhard.

Just gotta run and get back every dang play.

Chet averages 14.2 points a game, 9.8 rebounds a game, 1.9 assists a game with a 60% FG percentage. I would be happy to trade our Vanoner for that Vanover.

Being better than vanover isn’t that hard. I never said he wasn’t good I said he was soft. He’s not the type of game changer you think a top 3 pick would be. He’s good but timme is their guy

I know. It would be on purpose to be worse than Vanover. He is soft but I expect that from a big that hasn't put on any weight or hasn't developed yet as a freshman. I do expect the guards to be quicker and more physical than him. If the Memphis guards gave him trouble then Toney and Stan will do the same.

At some point Muss is going to be asked about his BLOB defense, it has hurt his teams in games but has not beat them yet. If we were being honest it is Pelphrey level bad at times.

His BLOB offensive calls are great.

I think Arkansas matches up with zaga better than anyone is giving them credit for thus far.

Perfect scenario is to beat zaga, end Ks career and who cares after that. If there is a thing such as karma it will happen as both are due with their comments towards Arkansas in the past.
