I honestly think Gruden would flop in college football. So I was kinda hoping they'd hire him so I could slowly watch the fanbase turn on their football God.

It's forgivable when you're in "shite, an 80 year old man for two years is better than watching this 4–8 team flounder" mode. People start grabbing onto anything that'll float when they're that desperate. Barry Switzer was also mentioned just for the hell of it. Probably a couple other stupid names.
It gets bad when the majority of your fan base bites like it's not only an actual possibility, but basically a foregone conclusion. Both fan bases kind of hoped and fell for it a little in 2012. We learned a lesson, why couldn't they?
