Back in the Petrino era, I was on Woopig a lot. It was never called Hogville. It was Knobville, Knob-Knob, Lannyville, etc. Hogville has been arse for at least 25 years.

Yeah, I can't remember explicitly, but I think it was something to do with one part of the mod group wanting to keep an ad-free message board that was more for adults vs one part of the mod group wanted to accept outside advertising and make a more family friendly board.
Which ultimately meant that every 15-year-old high school student and every hillbilly with dial up in their trailer park and an opinion ended up flooding the board because there was no quality control...and here we are today. Woopig generally did a good job of chasing off the trash. And Hogville welcomed them with open arms so they could make that $$$ and stroke their own egos.
