He's definitely looking for the opportunity. I saw him reply positively to someone on Twitter who said Arkansas State should hire him if Anderson left.

I've been wanting my Alma Mater, SAU, to hire him for years.... Sadly though they won't... Every AD thinks they'll be fired if Kelly fails.

High School.

ETA: OT a little, but Brad Bolding has been hired as head coach of LR Parkview. IF he can get some the athletes that are walking the halls to come out for football, he might be able to build something there in a couple of years.

You've obviously never walked the halls at Parkview, there are the basketball players, handful of recruited football players and then the nerds.

He said there were. Maybe he hasn't been there.
Regardless, he could have something going in a couple of years.

Will never happen, stepping stone job to get back into the market. If he wins there, he'll do it by breaking the rules, like he did at NLR.

LR McCellean is the school that if a real coach ever got serious about football there could turn into something. there is so much raw talent in south west little rock / sweet home /wrightsville

ain't shite at PV but some recruited BB players.

Parkview hasn't been a magnet school for 3 years or so. Interdistrict magnet schools ended with the desegregation settlement.

IIRC, his big problem at NLR was that he broke some money procedures, not cheating at football. Basically got a little too big for his britches. Should be brought back down to size now.

Time will tell. He's a good coach. He thinks he can get it done. There is talent in the area.

Uh how hard is it to coach a recruited team playing 5a football in Arkansas. Coach of the year lol, that's like Arkansas playing UCA every game. What a joke.

Okay, you win. He won't be able to field a team at Parkview.
Maybe he should have checked with you before taking the job. Would have saved him a lot of grief.

You sure? LINK

quote:

Parkview is Arkansas' first and only complete interdistrict magnet high school with students from all three local districts. Students enrolled in the Fine Arts Magnet Program select an area of emphasis from the arts-dance, drama, instrumental music, orchestra, visual art or vocal music-and follow an expanded curriculum in their specialized area.

Yes I'm sure

LINK

quote:

Under the agreement, the Little Rock-area districts will also phase out majority-to-minority transportation plans, and the magnet schools will stop accepting new applicants from Pulaski County and North Little Rock. Little Rock leaders have said they will maintain the magnet schools as special-program schools.

Parkview quit receiving magnet school funding 2 years ago. Next year's senior class will be the last of the "magnet" students the school (students that had already enrolled in the magnet program were grandfathered in)
