We have outperformed expectations in every game so far this year. Yes losing heartbreakers we should have won frickINF SUCKS but this team is better than the whole country (and most of Arkansas) thought we could be. We are LIGHTYEARS better than we have been the past 2 years and we will be a lot better next year even still. Bielema knows what he is doing. His heart is in this and he's as hungry (heehee) as anyone. It's coming, brothers and sisters. The waiting sucks a fat donkey aids dick but it'll be so sweet when it does come. I fricking live this team, weak links and all. They're leaving it all out on the field every week. I'm proud to be a Hog fan and you should be too. WPMFS

totally agree, I know fans are frustrated and I'm not saying that's wrong but aside from the final score there's not hardly any more improvement that we could ask for. I truly hate it for the players, I know it's got to be so hard being so close but I like you know it's coming...

We have not improved that much. Everyone else just sucks this year except for the state of MS

We are fine. No real shame losing to Auburn, aTm, and Bama...and we are shaking our heads because once we EXPECT to win at least 2 of those are wins.

It's tough,,,the photos in the den Gaz show that walker basically dropped the ball in the fumble through the end zone. Our kids just haven't npbeen here before, but the experience is highly likely to pay dividends under this coaching staff.

So if we play them close and/or win what will the excuse become?

It's obvious the team has improved tremendously. I just can't wrap my head around how some people refuse to give them any credit at all.

99% of the team is busting arse and much improved. A certain key position player and the coaching staff have shite away a great season. Good coaches get results much as we have gotten against better teams. Great coaches win those damn games. BB is still young and hopefully learning from these mistakes. Unless he does, he and his teams will never take that next step.

Some will laugh hysterically, especially the RanTards, but with a few more plays and eliminating some key mistakes here and there the Hogs are sitting at 5-1 right now. Another loss from Auburn and they'd control their own destiny as far the SECCG.

Obviously that isn't the case. BA has played much better this season but he still gets rattled in pressure situations and in the SEC most games are pressure situations. We've had some bad play calls, our usual helping of poor refs, and some bonehead mistakes that have cost us dearly.

We are on the right track but I think if we are going to win an SEC game this year we need to win a blowout because in a close game I just don't know that we are there yet mentally to pull it off.

The great thing about this is that as long as we continue to suck, expectations will be low so that we can continue to exceed them without actually winning.

This.

Bert played Bama closer than any Petrino team ever did and did it with a paper thin depth chart that is young as hell and without a decent QB.

That's not excusing losing or being a sunshine pumper, but rather stating the obvious that we've come a hell of a long way in this monster of a rebuilding effort in just 18 months.

Bama isn't anywhere close to being as good as they have been in recent years. WVU gave them a decent game. WVU almost lost to Texas Tech.

You fricking serious? I outlined it in my post as a reason for optimism. You just selectively quoted it and left out everything after the word "did."

They barely won 9 regular season games in 2010 and Petrino's best team only managed a 4 point loss at home.

But no, Bert's a terrible coach because he lost by a blocked PAT with a paper thin, QB-less team against a roster teeming with blue chip croots with National Championship experience.

Yeah, we have. Still feels like a kick in the nuts when you get that close though.

Guess it's like that last little agonizing bit to get over the top of that huge hill you've been running up. So close, but got to gut through that last little bit to get over the top.

I still have faith that we'll get there.

I was thinking last night that even if we had just Zack Hocker on this team Hogs could very well be sitting at 5-1.

We'll get there but right now, it hurts like a motherfricker. Why? I don't know. Shouldn't we be used to this shite as Hog fans?
