I'm not going to blame everything on Sparkle, but he was really bad in this game. His footwork was awful.
It seemed, as far as the running game, that we ran the same, or similar play every time.
I think Chard's playbook is pretty limited outside of HS sets.
Keep in mind Kentucky controlled the clock as well because we couldn't contain the QB (we haven't in years).
We need a complete overhaul, but that's not going to happen for at least another year. And in the mean time our recruiting will suffer, we'll have transfers, etc.

We're snake bitten.

Morris is gone on November 30th. He just lost his best shot of winning an SEC game this season. It's going to be a rebuild, but at the very least we should have some competency from our head coach next year.

Why Chad started Starkel is dumb when Hicks had momentum. Hicks isn't a savior, but hes better for this team IMO.

chad should be fired for not having any of our QBs at least ready to play. starkel only throws deep or to other team. hicks can barely throw. the other kids must be god awful if they cant get time with these two

To me the biggest offensive coaching blunder was going conservative in the 2nd quarter. 3rd and 10 and and we hand the ball off for no gain. Clearly playing for a field goal.

Then we have three timeouts at the end of the first half and we let uk run most of the clock out. We could have easily had 2 mins plus for a drive had we managed the clock well. I bet he’d like to have that possession back now.

Playing not to lose gets you beat every time.

They'll frick up the next coaching hire, too. What part of, "were Arkansas," don't you understand?

We really should look into dividing up the complaints and letting one poster just concentrate on one aspect of fricking up.

Like one of us could take "we show read option on every hand off but the QB never keeps the ball even though 98% of the time no one pays attention to him" and another could take "why is it that the more time our coaching staff spends on a QB the worse they play? Should we play a QB who gets zero snaps in practice and is ignored through the week in hopes that he hasn't been ruined yet?".

We have a large group of fans so if we all take just two or three frick ups we might be able to cover them all, though I know that is a tall order.

My favorite play of the whole game was in the 2nd Q. 3rd and 11 at the Kentucky 28, draw to Boyd up the middle. Pissed.

This concerns me as well.

If I remember correctly, back when Petrino was hired, he had to proactively pursue the job, making it widely known that he was interested in the Arkansas job. Even then, he was still being ignored until he actually reached out to the university. Otherwise, I don't think he would ever have been offered the job.

Jim Grobe was the front runner at the time. Tommy Bowden was another. Jim Grobe came very close to being hired. And Bowden had to resign the very next season (Oct. 13, 2008, mid-season) at Clemson.

Hiring coaches is hard but we need to at least hire a coach with a winning record next time lol.

There are plenty of coaches that had great 3-4 year runs at mid majors and stayed there but then eventually tailed off and ended up getting fired. Mark Hudspeth for example. Chip Kelly isn’t even close to the coach he was. Even if we hire a guy like Norvell or Leach I’m not going to be excited about it until they actually win a few games here because nothing is a sure thing, Scott Frost’s UCF teams would kill his Nebraska teams even though Nebraska has better talent on paper.

Remember when people bitched about Bielema's offense?

Bielema needed to be fired but Morris is not "Better Than Bert"

year 2 Bert was pretty fun. lots of close games, like that Bama game; he really racked up the moral victories and capped off the season with hella momentum.

def the last time i had fun during a football season. sky was the limit going into that Toledo game the next year....

We win that Toledo game we are probably looking at 2015 a whole lot differently. 9 win season (counting the presumable bowl win). 5-3 in the SEC. People wouldn't feel like Bielema "dissed" little rock by losing in wms. The miraculous #4thand25. That would have been a pretty good season in hindsight. Alas, Toledo wasn't the pushover that Bielema prepared for. Add the fact that he trashed Ohio State's schedule the week of that game and you have the perfect combination of shut the hell up waiting to explode.

Bielema probably succeeds here if he had an Alvarez type AD to govern his actions on and off the field.

I think the days of those type ADs are over. Most coaches don't want to work for Broyles or Alvarez type ADs. They want to be left alone because ultimatley who cares if they fail. They get fired and they still get that dumbass buyout. Seriously..... I know this is another subject but when did ADs get together and decide that no-consequence coaching was ideal. In what world is it ok to fail and be guaranteed money?
