I was thinking on this earlier,

How do they break down? Where is the blame for most of these?

This will cause us to lose a game, soon... if we don't clean it up.

I know we aren't in the realm of GA or AL yet... Not even close, but we could be in the 2nd realm easily if we could clean this up with other improvements that have came and are coming.

At one point people said the same thing about Texas, USC, Miami, FSU, Michigan, Nebraska, etc.
Programs rise and fall.

At this moment we are really lucky to have a loyal coach who is passionate about building our program. What we need to do is have patience. Look at Kentucky, they have been patient and it is paying off. We can’t keep going through the coach carousel. Our program hit rock bottom. We need to rebuild and organize our recruiting base and give him more than enough money to be competitive with assistant coaching salaries. We need real depth and it takes a long time to do this.

agree with all of this... To get respectable, which I believe we are doing... then, as you said... Pay very good assistants.

what Kentucky has built is basically as good as it gets. they won 10 games their best year, but was not competitive with the big dogs. the good part is their down years are now 8-4 esq. this is what stability, and patience has brought them. yes they won a top 10 game. we did this year as well. they will get murdered by UGA this year.

our ceiling as a program looks like auburn. mediocre to better foe 3 years. really damn good 4th year. 1 of those 2 good years out of 8 we need to be good enough to actually be playing for something. my issue is that while Bama and UGA hogging all the top 5 players at every position I'm not sure we have what it takes even with an amazing team every 8 years. maybe if we get Bama at home, and lsu isn't amazing, and auburn stays like this we could have a chance, but man I can't imagine us beating a team that loaded without some luck. which we hardly ever get.

After the A&M win, the door out of the basement was open. Now we are told to go back down. We didn't even have enough time to get something out of the fridge.

…. Losing to #2 Georgia, even getting blown out, at their place is not sending us back down to the basement lmao

Dude the basement was losing to Toledo, north texas, etc..

We are firmly out of the basement and somewhere middle tier.

In a new coaches 2nd season after a covid year. C'mon now!

That depends on the definition of what middle tier is in the SEC this year. Arkansas can go 7-5 and still be 6th in the west.

We beat TAMU, we will beat Mizzou, we will beat Auburn and or LSU, we will beat Miss State.

Dude, you are grasping at the negative straws tonight.

We went up against a behemoth who has stockpiled 5* talent on the lines.

So that is a fact? The only sure win is UAPB. Missouri looks the most vulnerable. It will be extremely tough to win 7-8 games with this schedule.

I think we get auburn at our house and Mississippi state for sure. We will beat Missouri by 2TD+. Drink is over his head and it showed today. LSU is gonna be tough because of the environment but if we make adjustments we can win that one too. 7-5 is the floor for this season with the ceiling being still 10-2. Who would’ve thought that the day Sam Pittman was hired?
