Hawaii is a great matchup for us and I really think Wisky is too. High Point should be no gimmie for Wisky though they can flat out score #9 offense in the nation and the Badgers love to shite the bed in March normally.

To be fair to the committee…we kinda did this to ourselves. They rank teams 1-64 and slot them into the appropriate bracket…by beating Vandy we made them the #1 5 seed,,,but we became the #4 4 seed.
Travel wise, they had four seeds from Nebraska, Kansas, Alabama and Arkansas. None want to go to Portland, but as the 16th overall seed and lowest 4 seed….we get the short straw.
Yep…it would have been better to be the top rated 5 seed and basically swap places with Vandy.

I don't like our location, but I think I like our bracket better than Vandy though.

The location just is what it is. I doubt Kansas wanted to be playing in San Diego, but they are. As the Committee's 15th and 16th ranked teams, you're kind of left with the remaining host locations after prioritizing the teams ahead of you.
I think a bigger gripe could be that Nebraska, Alabama, and Kansas were all ranked ahead of Arkansas (and Vanderbilt). Given all of the metrics and amount of data out there, I'm sure the Committee could cherry pick the data point(s) to support their decision, but it takes doing quite a bit of mental gymnastics to rank Nebraska, Alabama, Kansas, Arkansas, and Vanderbilt in that order.
That Kansas is a 4 seed at all, is somewhat confounding in and of itself (22 in NET; 21 in Ken Pom; 22 in Torvik; 16 in WAB; 11 in KPI; 22 in BPI). Vanderbilt and Arkansas are both ranked higher across the board. If Vanderbilt had "Kansas" written across the front of their jerseys instead, they'd be a 3 seed.
Nonetheless, it appears that Arkansas got a pretty good draw all things considered.

Losing to Kentucky at home and getting blown out by Auburn didn't help.

The Georgia loss looks bad too. It was like their #0 had a make a wish game.
Vandy's star guard shot a combined 6-25 against us. We're clearly the 3rd best team in the SEC, which I think makes us a 3 seed. I guess having Cal gets us higher regard from Bilas and the like, but not the committee.
