Yeah 54 points given up in a half is no big deal

Pringle did a few drills but that's it. If he plays it will be very limited.

Brush, we're just letting Arizona wear themselves out. They'll run out of steam midway in the 2nd half.

(Just kidding...but really hoping)

Win or lose, it's been a great season and the program is back on track.

Tough way to end the season. But what a cool thing to get to watch Acuff have the year that he had.

I didn't say it out loud, but last night was about what I expected. Hope it would be a little closer, and it would have been if we had hit a few more 3's. Seems like the couldn't buy one last night.
Can't spend all the money on guards, going to ante up a little more inside.

It’s still about who shoots better. We shot 22% from three. They shot 63%. Flip that and the narrative is how can we shut down Loyer again.

This man speaks the truth. Sadly Cal’s approach has long been to get the best guards in the nation and to build a supporting cast around them. He’s not likely to change and we aren’t likely to advance past Elite 8 with no interior defense.

Acuff is generational…but he’s not much of a defender in anyone’s world.

That's not true at all, we were final 3 for Koa Pete and Chris Cenac and final two for Nate Ament. He recruited the hell out of the top 3 bigs. We thought we had Ament he was scheduled to announce, it was Arkansas, then he pushed it back wanting more money and it was Duke vs Arkansas until Tennessee came in late with a big bag significantly more than what Duke or us offered. There is not endless money, even Duke did not match or beat Tenn's offer. There is nothing you can do these days it's about money offer more or lose the prospect.

True. We tried. Need better back up plans if we miss our first choices. Need to big arse defender/rebounders. I think our new comers will help. Smith defends. JJ may be close to 240 by the time he gets to campus. He's got the genetics to get BIG but keep his agility and quickness.

I’ll stand by my statement. Cal prioritizes guards. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t want big guys like Pete….just means he will always allocate whatever resource it takes to land the top guard then do his best to get the bigs,

It’s not terrible, but it will result in us facing better bigs in the Sweet 16 or Elite 8 every year.

Yeah he recruited those bigs harder than any guards last year.
