Big, big SMU booster David Miller has a "camp" down here in Mt. Holly and his wife is from the area. He could easily woo him just by giving him access to his bass and crappie ponds. He can practice his 3's in the indoor basketball facility.

Miller is the biggest booster SMU has. I see him a bit at board meetings we are on together. Pretty sure DM has a connection in Magnolia, besides his wife. He was pretty heavy on the Ford's when he was in high school but he wasn't luring him from Arkansas at that time.

DM is pretty much retired now besides all the boards he sits on, which are quite a few. So all his time (and money) are being thrown at the SMU basketball program. Court named after him, etc.

I figured y'all knew each other. If you haven't been, you should get him to take you to his wilderness kingdom he has down here.

It's amazing. I haven't been in awhile. I'm sure they've done even more. Apparently got mad when I wouldn't drive two hours in the middle of the night while on a duck hunt to deal with a minor injury. Had my pass revoked. I guess some people aren't used to being told no.

ETA-Never had a problem with him. Always nice and cordial. Could still move well and play ball for a man his age as of 6-7 years ago. Going to SMU to play would be a good business move for Mr. Ford if he'll get his degree. Hell, it'd be a damn good living to be caretaker of DM's place post basketball.

We all know Muss mainly cares about one thing and Blocker is really good at that. Defense.

He’s going to have to compete with quite a few guards who have proven they can play good defense at the d1 level.

I’m not saying he can’t play, it’s just not a given

So are Devo and Tramon Mark.

I love AB but...holy shite i hope so. The kid is 6-2. He's in a lot of trouble if he's not a better shooter than Anthony Black.

Put it this way… if blocker ends up averaging more the 25 minutes a game that means we are championship caliber team

I'm just ready to know for sure who the two players are!

Everyone is assuming Devo because of Ford's exit, but we have an abundance of guards.

Who would you prefer to come back if we do get Holland, Devo or Walsh?

I'm inclined to say Walsh due to his immense upside that usually reveals itself in year two. Not to mention the motivation to improve his offense and move himself into position to be a high first round pick.

If they returned as the exact same player that they were last year, I take Devo.

Curtis said last night that it’s Devo who may come back and that Walsh is for sure gone.

On most teams I’d probably take Devo over Walsh but with the roster the way it’s built I’d probably have to say Walsh. I’d love either or both.

One guy on 247 (a poster supposedly who had Holland's move to Texas right) said Holland is not coming to Arkansas.

Didn't give much reason, but also said he was told G-League was a 'maybe.'

Arkansas or not I’m fascinated to see where he goes. My guess is that his new landing spot reveals a basketball program that is at or very near the top of the NIL landscape.

That’s why I don’t think Texas is necessarily out. They might go back to the negotiating table and make it work now that he has their attention. I guarantee Kentucky is heavily involved.

It wasn’t that hard to pick holland to Texas. Everyone knew it was Texas or Arkansas, and odds were high he was going with Beard and staying home.

He means the draft class isn’t regarded as being particularly strong. Adding context to Holland potentially being the number one overall pick.

Wilkerson basically said nobody will be able to outbid Arkansas for Holland.

He seemed like he was also trying to figure out Holland's real motive, because Arkansas can match anyone in terms of NIL and there is a glaring open positional spot for him to get massive minutes under Muss.

Nobody’s gonna be in a real hurry to solidify anything until May 31st at this point I’d imagine. Or until the combine ends on the 21st.
