Makhi will leave if we get another big. That's why he hasn't announced he's staying yet.

Davenport went 7 for 9 one game from 3 and 5 of 6 from 3 in one half. Guy can stroke it

my guess is Grant Nelson

I actually wouldn't mind this as a role player off the bench. The kid can shoot and played pretty well against the Hogs this past season.

And I think Davenport leans more towards devo leaving than Walsh. Two totally different positions

I’d take Nelson in a heartbeat. Gonna be tough to get better than that out of what’s realistically left.

Davenport is a big 3&D guy who can shoot the 3 and FT's.

Let's go

Jeremiah Davenport is 8th in the AAC with 590 career three-point attempts and 14th with 205 career makes.

People still complaining about what Muss does.

I feel like Davenport is what we want Pinion to become.

Davenport is more of a Walsh replacement. Mark was more of a Devo replacement. Might be losing both

Is it fair to call the portal guys willing shooters?

We getting Bama transfers?

Real answer - relative to our team this past season I think they are much more willing shooters as a whole. There's still a lot of defensive emphasis with these guys though

Pinion isn't ever going to get consistent run because he can't hold up defensively in league play.

Opposing teams will switch constantly and pick on him until he improves.

I don’t get that. I’d have left Conway in a second to play Big East basketball.

What he expected at Butler must not have materialized or Butler has an underlying issue he wasn’t initially aware of

I'm still concerned about muscle inside. I was worried about that when I watched UConn play the game before we played them. Turned out my fears were rightly founded. We just got bullied inside.

It wasn't just Sanogo, either. 7'2 Clingan averaged 13 mpg and was very good himself. It's not like Uconn couldn't find another shooter, so they played a young big.

Ever since the dawn of time, the team that has won the NCAAT has usually had a size advantage over most teams under the basket. There have been exceptions, but it's just hard to win when the other team controls the boards.

Brazile isn't a big, although he can be effective against them. Makhi and Graham are not big enough. Fall simply isn't ready to play at this level.

Grant Nelson looks like a poor man's Brazile, without the vertical. I like him and he would still be a big help. I like Jesse Edwards better, though. I don't understand Davenport.

My starting lineup prediction, working with what we have.

Devo/Menifield
Khalif Battle
Tramon Mark (he'll play for his D)
Trevon Brazile
Makhi Mitchell

I'd like to see a good big that could share time with Makhi and add more size when needed. He could be to Makhi what Clingan was to Sanogo, but we'd have him when needed.
