Not to be contrarian, but it was never good to begin with.

Wiggins was extremely inconsistent last season and was the weak spot in our weekend rotation, so I highly doubt he’d have the difference maker for us. Like Kyle Peterson said on one of our broadcasts last year, he’s got elite velocity but not elite command.

Tygart was great for the first two thirds of the season last year but he really imploded down the stretch due to being overextended, and he was basically unusable and a complete nonfactor in the postseason because he couldn’t find the zone.

Arkansas hasn't had a good pitching staff in years.

The kid from Nebraska was a bigger loss than both. Although I’d like to get Tygart back and see if he could prove me wrong.

While true, DVH watched Smith pitch and still slated Wiggins as the Friday guy. That tells me something. At the very least it's better than McEntire.

Bolton has no business starting for us or any SEC team. If he is our best option at SS then we're not a very deep team.

He isn't. That's why he's warming up the bench right now.

I mean, we had a pretty good one last year.

Noland, Hagen, and Wiggins (see above) were the weekend starters, and we had a bunch of experienced arms in the pen like Evan Taylor, Vermillion, Ramage (who was better than people on here give him credit for) as well as Tygart who was a freshman phenom for 2/3s of the season.

DVH has forgotten more about baseball in the last hour than I’ll ever know, but the left side of our infield continues to be a head scratcher and something he can’t seem to figure out this season.

Bolton is not an SEC player, and he seems to keep forcing Cali at 3B.

It’s like we aren’t playing the #1 team that has been putting up 11 runs per game.

But LSU is good so you can't question anything

That's what I've been told at least

Not good enough to beat Arkansas this bad.

Again, both were better last year than the edge lords on here give them credit for.

Zeb had a 2.39 ERA on 26 IP, and Ramage had a 4.80 ERA in 50 IP.

Zeb’s ERA would be 3rd best on this year’s team (after Hagen and Hollan), and Ramage’s would be 6th best.

How about not get run ruled twice in a row and have the pitching staff get embarrassed
