Not surprised by this, sadly.
He was reportedly playing through a ton of pain prior to being shut down. It had effected him at the plate and in the field he could barely throw to 1st on routine 4-3 putouts.
Sucks to lose someone like him, though there’s some solace in the fact that Holt has emerged as of late.

He probably won't be in Fall Ball either. Sounds like 6 to 9 month period for a true 100% recovery.

I really hope he gets recovered and comes back strong. Dude has lost a lot of money by coming to college so far.

I agree. I hate it for Stovall, because he is a stud and a great leader, but our lineup is a little more balanced now. We were so left heavy an extra right-handed stick isn't a bad thing.

Due to results, facilities and fan support Dave has been able to recruit at another level to where it’s next man up. A great job being done up there all around.
