Feels great to see that while our football program is in a ditch gasping for air, our basketball program has successfully reminded everyone what time it is when we show up.

Any of you who read X noticed the inflated self worth some Purdue fans have of their program?

I think Muss will never go back to freshmen getting significant minutes after last season. It was good to put us on the map but will be more picky on the high school front going forward.

I wouldn't go that far. Still made the sweet 16 even with some pretty bad injury issues.

Plus, Blocker played what I would consider significant minutes in the Purdue game.

Yeah, I think he probably just doesn't want to go 6 freshman in a class like last year though

Guards seem like they're much more ready to play as freshmen. I wouldn't mind getting to a point where we're taking guys like Fall to develop for years 2/3 and mainly using transfers there.

In other words I might go 2/1 in the high school ranks for guards/forwards and then do like 2/2 in the portal (or more depending on who returns from the team each year).

3 seems like a solid number for high school kids though either way. Gives you one in the frontcourt, one in the backcourt and one BPA.

I should have clarifed, being in a position where 2-4 are on the court routinely.

Eric Musselman is one of the most aggressive roster-builders in the country. Roster turnover is difficult for some other coaches to adjust to, but it's a way of life for Musselman. He'll load up with transfer after transfer if he believes that will give him the best shot to win. He'll double-down on five-star freshmen if he believes that will give him the best shot to win. It, truly, does not matter.

He keeps backing it up in March.

Arkansas has advanced to the second weekend in three of Musselman's first four seasons. Arkansas hasn't won an SEC Championship yet under Musselman, but it's hard to find another coach who has his team ready to roll in March. Musselman still has to keep recruiting at an elite level, but he's built Arkansas into a national brand by being himself. Both the good and the not-so-good. Arkansas hasn't made it to the Final Four yet, but it certainly feels inevitable at this point and then anything can happen.
