Yeah with all the ups and downs, to me anything after the Kansas win is gravy.

I a slowly building my case. They are focused on size, season strugles, and lack of experienced returners.
I quickly reminded them Last year was the only time Muss has really had returning players on an Elite 8 team.
When we win i'll be quick to talk run my mouth on those Connecticut cowards.
This game is much like last years Gonzaga game. Nobody saying we will win, we're overmatched and cant hang.

I LOVE that we’re the underdog. That Sweet 16 matchup against Oral Roberts in 21 was STRESSFUL. We got to play loose with nothing to lose in last year’s Sweet 16. And I hope we do it again Thursday.

If you have a Hogs+ subscription go give the new Devo HogPod a listen. It was a good one.

Very. That was actually a solid team too.

It won’t happen I know but say by some bizarre occurrence we make it past Thursday any idea on what time the game Saturday would be? Afternoon or evening time is really what I’m asking.

Don’t go listen to Zimmerman on the hog pod. He’ll have you believing we are headed to Houston. And booking rooms.

Elite 8 games will be at like 5 and 7:30. No afternoon games.

There’s no reason to debate what will happen with this team.
We may get drilled by 15.
We may lose a nail biter.
We may win a nail biter.
We may destroy them by 15.
All we can do is watch, hopefully get to enjoy it, and be as belligerent towards the haters as possible if we win.

Yeah it’s gravy at this point.

Anybody else rooting for the Maui teams?
SD State and Creighton could both get a shot at Bama. I actually think Creighton has a chance if they play like they did back in the Invitational.
That team is pretty loaded and Nembhard is a absolute gamer.

Kinda.
I wouldn't wanna play SDSU again. They'd be pretty motivated based on how that whole thing went. I also love to see them doing well.
Creighton I liked too but they're dangerous and I'd rather not play them again either. Although maybe better than bama again?

All I know is this. Next year when I am freaking out after a few losses... Somebody slap me down a bit, and get me to repent once more.
It truly is unbelievable what Muss has achieved since being at Arkansas.
Now, somebody, anybody give me the reason why we will win on Thursday.
I read a SB Nation article saying as much.

I didn’t freak out this year. After last year, I wrote the team off in January some time, and Muss went to an Elite 8.
So I figured this year, even when sucking we’d get in the tournament and make noise. I do still not get the 2nd half collapses we had all season.

I didn't realize there were so many Arkansas connections in the Sweet 16! The entire Kansas State rotation is made up of transfers and 3 of them have a connection. Desi Sills and Abayomi Iyiola played at Arkansas, while Markquis Nowell played for UALR.
Also, Norchad Omier of Miami played for ASU last year and I remember some wanting him to transfer to Arkansas. Finally, Reggie Chaney plays for Houston.

I think it's a combination of factors.
- Lot of true freshmen that are just young and inexperienced
- Only two players had played together before this year (besides the Mitchell twins but they usually don't play at the same time)
- Injuries that have altered the lineups delayed their chemistry

A few collapses came when we were drilling a team, and then we got cocky and started playing for sportscenter/Twitter hits and got sloppy. Then the other team made us pay for it.
Muss seems to have put a stop to that. Heck, there were a few times in the first few rounds where the highlight play was there and we were too responsible.
