Muss was going to avoid playing Toney at all costs.
He said in his pregame he didn’t want to risk any injuries today. He’s only concerned about the Tournament now. I’m just impressed we cut it back down to 4. Heck of a comeback on the road.
He even talked about NBA schedules and how you have to manage minutes on a quick turnaround.

No mad at all. Great effort with a rag tag squad and Notae still not playing great.
Barnes telling his team that got bounced first round last year they’re natty contenders is the reason that dude hasn’t won shite.

Not even upset about this loss.
It was almost like Muss was fricking with them in the first half with all the guys who never play, playing all of the minutes.

Tell me Muss was coasting without telling me

Johnson and Lykes playing a combined ~50 minutes almost deserves an investigation by the FBI for point shaving

And the funny part is, Muss was pissed in his post game presser. The lack of effort in the 1st half set him off.

That man looks like he lost his family in every post game presser after a loss. This game settled any doubts I had about us in the tournament. Playing away from home is not an issue for this team after battling back like that. If we shot our FTs like we normally do then we win.

Moses Moody has established a new career-high with 22 points, in the first half, tonight at Denver. (prev. 20, 2/1/22 at San Antonio).

Moses Moody made 13 consecutive FGs, the longest such streak by a rookie since Daniel Gafford made 14 in 2019, per Elias.
Klay Thompson was the last Warrior to go on such a streak, making 14 in a row all in one game against the Lakers in Nov. 2019.

Toney still in a walking boot as of yesterday.

Not great, hopefully he heals up before the Big Dance. Of course its a picture of our players signing a basketball for a young fan. Muss has done a good job of assembling a squad of players that can win and that we want to see win.

I went back and watched the last 10 min of the LSU game. At 5:39 Tony comes up limping a little after what looks like turning his ankle. Never came out of the game but did show he was favoring it on some cuts.
I’m assuming holding him out was just precautionary as they would rather him be healthy for tournaments as opposed to him reinjuring it Saturday. They are probably just doing all they can to make sure it’s completely healed. He’s our best defender and has shut down some big time players this year so we need him back badly.
Vescovi wouldn’t have scored 15 Saturday if a healthy Toney is on him.

I'd rest him during the SECT if I thought it would help. If we make a run in the NCAAT, which is all that really matters, then we need him as healthy as can be.

I’d be surprised if he plays unless he’s 100%. Why aggravate an injury in a meaningless game.

Yeah I think Toney is done until the big tournament. Hogs definitely need him if they want to make a run

My only concern then is him being rusty in the big tournament. Not a lot of time to work your way back into playing shape/speed of the game/etc

The NCAA tournament would only be 16 days after the original sprain. I’m guessing he’ll play whether he’s 100% or not but I was hoping this was the garden variety rolled ankle where you’re good in 10 days. Seems it’s a bit more than that.

When does Devo pull his head out his arse and not do fancy shite and just make solid passes?

Get rid of Lykes doing that hot dog shite too…
