I also didn't know Devo had called a players only meeting on Sunday. That may have led to some of the change in play last night.

quote:

FAYETTEVILLE — In the wake of suffering back-to-back losses to Oklahoma and Hofstra, the Arkansas Razorbacks held a players-only meeting.

Sophomore guard Davonte “Devo” Davis called the meeting, which was held on Sunday in the locker room at the team’s practice facility.

quote:

“Devo sent a text and we all met up,” junior forward Kamani Johnson said. “Everybody talked. I mean, we’re grown men, so everybody put their input in.

“We kind of got some stuff squared away. What we needed. It showed.”

quote:

Musselman said he approved of the players meeting without the coaches.

“I think the one thing that our team has lacked this year is internal leadership,” Musselman said. “The coaching staff are leaders, but great teams are player-led.

“We need more player voices, we need more player accountability. In game, post game. Accountability individually.

“And the last two days I think we’ve taken a step in the right direction. We’ll continue to do that as well.”

maybe a leader is starting to step up.

I dont think we will replicate last seasons success this year, but I think we will be pretty solid and win a game or two in the dance. Muss will squeeze the most out of what he has, if history is any indicator.

Wade landed on Muss in practice and Muss tore his rotator cuff requiring surgery.

Unfortunately was notified that the MRI showed a torn rotator cuff and surgery is required

Not the best way to open the conference schedule at Mississippi St but great chance to get a Q1 win and get back on track

Noticing a trend of only seeing red on our side and for being below average around the 3 ball....gonna be a long season if that doesn't improve

Looks like we need to do a better job of defending free throws.

It is one of the more interesting stats, we have been fairly unlucky in that sense

Weather I believe. Storms down there tomorrow evening. Don’t want to play on a flooded court in tDump.

Think it was the Florida-Ole Miss game getting canceled and TV needing a game to fill the spot

I saw that being referenced but still not understanding how moving our game to 4pm helps.

Could be a blessing. I’d really like to see what happens if his 15 shot a game were distributed elsewhere.

Will be interesting to see what we look like, especially for the folks that believe Lykes and JD on the court together causes the major issues.

I think JD is the type of player we need in games like this (tough and away from home) for better or worse, he has a dgaf attitude we need in some pressure spots.

I get the lykes hate but Notae is one of our best defenders and our top scorer. Shot selection is a problem but at least he's not lost on one half the court all game.

JD is the type of guy who can win you a game you shouldn’t and lose you a game you should win

Yeah, JD is one of the better steals guys in the country. He gets a little lazy with his feet sometimes but overall he does a great job. We can't really afford to lose those type of guys with the way we are already playing defense.

That is a decent summary at times
