I am on board the Billy Donovan hire train. He’s going to get fired when ever they crash out first round. And at that point who is out bidding us? Our fans will go bananas if they have to wait two more weeks though without knowing

People are gonna get super restless, the earliest this is getting done is Sunday again at the earliest. Yesterday everything was super quiet so this morning I get lots of info. HY was ready to make a hire two days ago, but Beards agent has told three of our most powerful BOT to hey just wait a few days, so those BOT guys are getting together the cash together for HY to possibly offer Beard the most lucrative offer in Arkansas history. I’m talking top 3 or 4 in college basketball money and double his current salary. I’ve been saying for a long time that no chance Beard comes but if it’s true that they’re gonna offer that kind of money to him after his season I’d raise the chance a bit, but not a whole lot.
Texas Tech has an assistant that is supposedly in Beards ear about listening to Arkansas.. citing hey they got a solid young core to build on and we’re losing half our team after this season and our stock might not ever be higher.
HY has another guy with an offer on the table ready to accept and he’s willing to wait until Beards season is over. So if this happens before hand Beards said never mind on listening.

Rick Pitino should be the worst case option.
Rule out Beard and Donovan then grab Pitino if those fall through.
Any of those three are guarantees to make us consistent contenders. Anyone else is a gamble.

Hopefully this doesn’t result in our BOT getting Gus’d again.

Sounds like there's a set backup so this isn't really a similar situation. If HY was ok with hiring him before even checking with Beard, I'd imagine it's no slouch.

Even if it is, I'm glad they're swinging for the fences first.
Mike Irwin has mentioned the Sean Sutton connection with Beard would help Arkansas.
Also, The BOT (specifically a couple of members) are very familiar with Beard. They signed off on his hiring at UALR and saw up close what he is capable of. I am not saying it’ll happen, but some do not understand the connection Beard and Stephens made when at UALR.

It's nice to be in the drivers seat of the NCAA coaching search for once.
Look at whats out there. We are the domino everybody is waiting to fall. Musselmen isn't going anywhere so we've got all the time in the world to wait on Beard to finish his season.
Once they are done you offer him 6.5 million dollars, and if he doesn't take it, musselmen will take the job.

I am skeptical that they would offer over 4.5 million to someone. If true, they are definitely gonna swing for the fences

Not to kill the boner but tardville is now saying its Self and big Rivals guy that has apparently been spot on is saying its Marshall.
Either of these would be announced today or tomorrow I would assume but if we wait, have to assume we're at least waiting to talk to Beard further.

They won't do anything till Wade's appearance in the FBI trial which I don't think is until another two weeks. I don't think we will have to worry about that.

If it’s Self, you’ve gotta wonder if he is running from legal issues at Kansas.
Would be okay with either him or Marshall for sure. Self boat floated by 15 or so years ago though, IMO.
