I don't think it is so much that people are against it but we have heard the Marshall rumors for a long time for many jobs over the years. I believe he baited Bama really hard a few years ago, not that the Bama job and ours are the same. I guess there are some people who have concerns with his recruiting but I think his development is good enough that it wouldn't be an issue. I would love to have him.

And he has a crazy wife

His source on Kelvin is the Houston 24/7 guy. He says oh I’m hearing it’s 60-40 he stays, but then says that nothing has been done outside of a feeler sat out and nothing will happen until Houston loses.

So that tells me Biddy is just driving up business.

We all know who 1A and 1B is but there is no need Really looking for news until one of them loses.

In our defense, I still remember the Dana Altman thing and settling for Pelphrey.

We get our expectations up far too high and then we make a crash landing.

I hope it's a clear upgrade is all I'm going to say bc Anderson wasn't awesome, but he was solid at the very least.

The admins who fricked up the Altman deal aren’t there anymore so that won’t happen again ever.

I’m with you on hopeful upgrade and I’m confident in that but it’s a stretch to say Anderson was very solid. At some schools yeah but not here. Billy Kennedy at A&M was solid.

Regardless of what you consider solid, he wasn't awful like Pelphrey. And the fans had an attachment to him bc of the history.

It's just going to look like a huge mistake if we hire someone that does worse. That's what I'm afraid of.

So is Pelphrey our barometer?

Arkansas appears to be set to attempt to hire Houston's Kelvin Sampson who has his team in the Sweet 16 tonight against Kentucky. Arkansas will target him and sources indicate to this reporter barring a breakdown of some sorts or Sampson simply changing his mind he is the expected replacement for Anderson. Houston is 33-3 on the season.

I know it's been discussed before, but seeing Auburn and LSU be successful with "shady" coaches while our fanbase whines about wanting a clean, "moral" coach is making me irrationally angry
