Who was the one that reported the 4M budget? Was that just message board rumor? I don’t think anything will be easy but multiple Houston media has said the opposite. Trey could be 100% spot on but haven’t seen enough from him in the past to lean his way imo.
I do think that it’s strange that we are really only hearing Sampson’s name, wouldn’t surprise me for it to ultimately be smoke.

Yeah, really don’t get the Young information. Not a bad coach but better options if you are going mid major route. Hunter would really take heat for that.

If the rumors of KS wanting a head coach in waiting designation for his son, I could see him using this as an opportunity to negotiate that with Houston. But I don't think he'd play games with HY, so HY could be using him as a diversion and they both benefit.
In either case, if we don't have a HC by early next week HY better be delivering one of the following:
- A coach still in the tournament
- Someone from the NBA
Anything short of that and it's going indicate we missed on Plan A.

Where is this Mike Young stuff coming from? 
There has been some discussion with Buzz to see what it would take to get him from A&M, his ties there are probably too strong.
Matta is probably the target if Sampson doesn’t happen.

If Houston loses tonight or Sunday he will be announced Monday. Its Sampson and it's been Sampson since December. The skies not falling and the Razorbacks are about to start winning alot of basketball games.

I'd be happy with Sampson. Honestly I'd rather have Beard and have been saying so ever since I watched his UALR team put Purdue out in the first round. But after destroying Meeechigan on his way to the elite 8 hes nothing but a pipe dream now. As usual Arkansas waits way too long to make a move on a great up and comer.
Having said all that. Sampson would definitely be another step towards taking the program back to greatness.

Oh trust me, I'd rather have beard too but he's going to wait it out until Texas job opens up. Outside of Billy Donovan, which is a pipe dream, Sampson is the absolute best we can do. He will have us winning alot.

I gotta say I love this message board. The freedom to express your opinion without fear of harassment or banishment by egotistical cocksuckers. Best place to go to discuss the Hogs.... And its not even close. And we agree on Sampson.

Starting to look like 2005-2011 around the rant again. Back before all the weird shite with HogAllude aka Pigfeet and before Pio started pretending he was 20. I really like to see the board gelling again. Have an upvote.

He’s playing the game. He’ll put it at 60-40 against the majority so that if it isn’t Sampson it looks like he has great sources, but if it is he still had it at a 40% chance so he won’t look bad.

Maybe but if that is the case, it would be very easy just to say its 50-50 at the moment. I'm personally giving him no credit if his 40% chance was right after going against popular opinion. His sources would take a hit imo, not that they are very high as of right now.
