Yeah I don't think Few ever leaves, just like Marshall at WSU.

So we’ve reached the Mark Few pipe dream part of the coach search. This is like the third stage of the grief process right?

Just wish Sampson would take the job. Any REALISTIC other options, if he says no?

I'm

1a Beard
1b Sampson

Either one gets named I'm doing heavy drinking and banging the wife.

If we pick some loser I will probably do some heavy drinking and banging the wife.

I don't feel like beard is an option.

Right or wrong hire counts as special occasion in the whole marriage contract thing.

Mark Few is from Oregon, been a coach at Gonzaga in some form or fashion his entire career. Started as a GA in 1989 and then became an assistant, then on to become HC. HE isn't leaving home.

Mark Few has had absolutely nothing positive or complimentary to say of Arkansas post Nolan firing for the way Nolan was treated by the fanbase/school before and post firing.

If he's changed his tune it furthers proves the point of why Mike needed to coach here, it healed this wound for much of the coaching profession, he was given a fair shot with a fair amount of time, thus no outrage about his dismissal and Mike has even helped this by being respectful of the program in the public's eye during this process.

Now, HY needs to get a handle on the talk that he moved the goal posts of what goals was set before the season to what needed to be met during the SEC Tournament. That is the same crap the administration pulled on Stan Heath which leads you into the fact it wasn't White/Broyles its an institutional culture of the program which will keep many coaches away from the program...

Mike needed to go regardless.

Optics are important.

I haven't searched for it, but Few blasted Arkansas after the Heath firing in a rant that led to him voicing his opinion about the Richardson firing during the tournament that year. Needless say the level of coach interested in the job plummeted after that then the Altman fiasco happened.

The lack of interest had a lot more to do with the off the court issues than anything

Totally agree, but he's good enough that you better have a plan before you pull that trigger.

Man Beard is one of the best defensive coaches I've ever seen. Anyone else watching him tear Meechigan a new one ? With the team we had this season Beard could have got us to the final four.

I know its a long shot. But damn we would be a powerhouse with a guy like him. The talent in-state, his ties to Texas. And his defensive coaching.. Man we would own the SEC.

Good chance we can win if we keep the opponent under 50 points a game.

I probably underrated Texas Tech based on their game against us where I wasn’t that impressed but they look like a legit contender to win it all tonight

Go to Beard first, garunteed contract 10 years, he names the price. If he balks go offer Sampson 4 million for 5.

Especially considering how good Beilein’s offensive philosophy and system typically runs.

Overwhelmed them.
