Rumor is Justice Hill may follow Mike to STJ and this is why we are looking at so many guards.

Seems odd that he’d be practicing with the team today, if that’s true. I guess he might be trying it out before deciding to move to NYC.

I’ve thought all along a transfer could be a mutual parting when he decided he wasn’t going to do spring football.

His early enrollment plus coaching change I could see it.

Strange imo how he didn’t go on scholarship this semester when Phillips left.

What is the Garland situation?

I'm not sure how I feel about him being on schollie still if he isn't ever going to play.

IMO have him transfer to a school that will let him play with his condition or put him on medical scholarship.

It wasn’t going to happen with Mike as coach so maybe the decision will be made easier with new staff. Same goes for Ali being on the roster.

@ARHoopScoop: First to report a week ago that Arkansas was showing interest in St. John's transfer LJ Figueroa @Lj_Figueroa (6-6 sophomore wing), and now reports out that Figueroa could visit Arkansas within the week ... had a big first season in the Big East in '18-19 ...

It definitely seems like it. At this rate we may have to start a separate basketball recruiting thread for the first time.

he's defintiely come in with a plan to ignite the program. I like it. the amount of chatter about a team who didn't even make the tournament is great. and now we've got someone actively going out and saying we're one of the top places to be of course I want to be here wouldn't anyone?

Figueroa was a 93 4* prospect, #82 nationally on 247. 6'6" 195 guard.

1st year at St Johns last year: 14.4ppg 6.4reb 1.7ast 1.8stl 51.3FG% 38.3% from three.

They lost to Arizona State in the first four game of the NCAAT this year, he went for a double double 19 points 10 rebounds. Also had a double double vs Villanova 22/12 and put up 23 and 20 point games against Xaiver.

Has to sit out a year to play 2.

Him and Walker in year 2 would be quite the backcourt, and imagine if Joe stays 3?

The thing is this, every player/recruit from mediocre on up has a handler now.

The handlers love him. He knows how to stroke their egos the right way and they feel like he knows how to get their players to the next level.

When he deals with the recruit he doesn't promise them anything. He tells them what their weaknesses are and how he's going to fix that weakness.

Another transfer kicker/punter offer out.

LINK

Virginia Tech transfer kicker/punter Jordan Stout

Stout will be immediately eligible at the school of his choice thanks to a new NCAA rule that allows players who go from walk-on status to scholarship, which Stout would, to be immediately eligible. He'll have three years to play three.

The Razorbacks only have one specialist on the roster on scholarship, Connor Limpert, but offered the Virginia Tech kicker a full ride as well. Stout redshirted his freshman year and then became the 4th best kickoff specialist in FBS with 60 of 71 kickoffs going for touchbacks in 2018.
