2019 RB target Marcus Majors names Hogs as leader. He has 15 scholarship offers from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Florida, Texas, Southern Cal, Michigan, Baylor, TCU and others.

quote:

The trip to Fayetteville has the Razorbacks in the lead for the younger Major's signature.

quote:

"They're clearly on the top," Major Sr. said. "They're at the top of the chain for sure. As for me, as a dad, they've appealed to me from the beginning, but Marcus is a visual learner, so when we got up there and was able to see and feel the love and able to see the family-oriented environment around there ... that was what made the difference for him."

quote:

"They were the first ones that kind of appealed to Marcus and offered Marcus," Major Sr. said. "The first Power Five offer. So they've always been at the top of the food chain, but this just kind of solidified that."

quote:

Major Sr. said Arkansas and two other schools are under consideration, but he did not reveal the other two.

"I'll leave that for him to disclose, but Arkansas is definitely at the top of that three," he said.

The original timeframe for a college decision was early summer, but that may not be the case now.

"We may be talking like a month or so now," Major Sr. said. "We don't want to wait too long, but at the same time he's just started the process. These 15 offers have come literally in the last 60 days."

don't care what star you are with an offer sheet like that if you've got Arkansas at the top I am very very happy

He’s got a great film and we were his second offer only behind Memphis but I’m not getting my hopes up quite yet with OU lurking and the RB they currently have committed to the Sooners being an Aggie legacy that Jimbo likely pursues

If we were to get a RB out of OKC with an offer from OU, I'll be very impressed.

Lots of good reviews and comments following the JR day weekend.

With spring practice starting tomorrow, they are having more coaches and players visit Saturday

My prediciton: if we can get to just 8 wins (thereby showing us on an upward trend) morris pulls in the best class Arkansas has ever had.

6'8" 340lbs, 2019 OL target Joseph Stone, names the Hogs his leader

quote:

He received an offer from the Hogs during the visit, and he now has the Razorbacks at the top of his list.

“Arkansas is definitely at the top,” Stone said. “I really enjoyed my visit this weekend.”

Stone also has offers from Purdue, Louisville, Florida-Atlantic, Mercer and Middle Tennessee.

He goes to the same school as Myles Mason. Looks like we may have started a pipeline.

Thomas Murphy @TomMurphyADG
Chad Morris, after the big prospect day last week, expects more: We'll have a bunch more on Saturday. I'm anticipating close to 100 on Saturday. … Just get them on campus. The university sells itself.

Does the university put this into the coach's contract that they have to say this?

Nutt, Petrino, Bert, and now Chad all said this, not that it isn't true.

Has Chad made any mention of how he plans to approach official visits?

Is he planning on offering as many as possible or scaling back the invitations compared to these unofficial visits?

Reason I ask, is if he's wanting to have big OV weekends with an unheard of number of prospects that will be fine, but I'm sure he will want to have the normal smaller version on other weekends as well. If he continues at his current pace with OVs, something will have to be done to increase the budget to pay for these, either a student athletic fee being added to tuition for the first time ever or an increase in ticket price. As we all know the fanbase will fight and gnash at any increase in price before the increase is "earned" by winning enough...

I'm sure uncle jerra or one of the GOBN will be willing to cover the expense

56 official visits is the NCAA yearly limit.

Unofficial visits are the key in recruiting because a majority of prospects dwindle their lists and eliminate schools or make decisions based on who they visited unofficially early in the process before an OV even occurs.
