Richard Davenport @ArRecruitingGuy
Highly recruited Jonesboro O-lineman @Dit200119 (Darius Thomas) will visit Ole Miss on Saturday. He's looking to visit Arkansas for the spring game in Little Rock.
A bit bizarre to me that he’s yet to visit the coaches on campus and will wait until Apr 7 to visit SG.

I'm in favor of keeping a presence in Central Arkansas, but recruits need to visit Fayetteville and see our facilities and campus. This is moderately alarming, but he will get to see those at some point.

Which is why the spring game being after April when recruits can start taking official visits, it would make more sense to have on campus but heal feelings, kumbaya and all that.

The spring game's location has to do with the fact that one end of our stadium is a construction zone right now. Aggy didn't even have a spring game during their period of stadium renovation.

I don’t want to rehash the whole thing but it’s much more about the state wide and fans throughout the state quotes we’ve seen and heard since Jeff was fired.
Last sentence provided a good opportunity and convenient timing.
quote:
One thing that has become abundantly clear to Coach Morris and me is the importance of the Razorbacks throughout the state. From every corner and region, people are Calling the Hogs. To better connect our new staff and program across the state this Spring, Coach Morris and I have decided that we will be taking the spring game to War Memorial Stadium on April 7. This will provide an opportunity for Razorback fans in Central Arkansas to meet Coach Morris and his team and for each of us to get to know you. While staging an off-campus spring game is not traditionally permissible per conference guidelines, we appreciate the Southeastern Conference accommodating our request. The change in venue will also benefit the ongoing construction at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

I suppose I interpreted those quotes the exact opposite of what you did. I saw that as "it's not feasible for Razorback Stadium to host the Spring Game while under construction, so we're going to have it at WMS and use the opportunity to promote the tradition of LR while we spin this as a demonstration of our love for Central Arkansas."

Perhaps your interpretation is correct but no matter how we take it, it has been made very clear to the new AD and coaching staff that WMS is vital. For a venue that isn’t SEC caliber or quality to host in it doesn’t make sense but get ready for us to dump money into it once again.

that's how I took it as well. seems like the rationale way of thinking
unless razorhawg is privy to insider GOBN great stadium debate info that we're not

Hope Hogs get Jonesboro recruits, but it IS two hours less drive and 150 miles closer to Oxford MS for them than it is to Fayetteville.

Interestingly enough the Ole Miss 247 guy put a crystal ball in for Arkansas for Thomas and two Texas guys have put Longhorn ones in for Stacey Wilkins.

I'm not sure we have ever been on so many highly rated 6'3+ Wrs ever. Like petrino's dick would have burnt off from the friction of him jacking it so much if he had half of these guys.
In saying this I'm not saying we get them all, but if we get These guys we will have a bigger WR than ole miss and tamu combined from a few years back. We will just be basketball on grass. Tossing it on back shoulder fades over and over. Just out sizing defenses. Our defense will not play a tougher challenge all year then at practice.

We need all or our instate o line guys. It is 100% necessary.

That’s odd considering he just said last week that Arkansas and OU were his top two schools. Did he just visit there or something?

I tried looking up info earlier and didn’t see anything.

I found something on the Texas 247 board. They claim to have a source close to Wilkins that says they’re trending up and that RD’s post about his top 2 being Arkansas and OU is inaccurate. As of tonight, they’re basically putting him in their class already. Very strange.

He told everyone his top two after that visit.
How do they start trending up in the time of a week in late Feb-early March?
