Any interest in Georgia backup Justin Fields? He’s transferring apparently

If Fields showed any interest, Chad would get down on his knees and beg like Mitt Romney.

Felony - Breaking/Entering

Was gonna go to school in the SEC for free and have an opportunity to play in the NFL. He then goes and commits a burglary.

I actually suggest people go watch the richard stromberg huddle for his sr year . Kid is big, mean as frick, and physical. Plays NT on defense, and his very disruptive. Has a great take off, and speed for his size. He runs some dudes over, and blocks guys 15 yards down field. He plays tackle, guard, and center. One play he is in the TE position. Now he is clearly just another linemen out there, but he looks versatile. Can pull, and even can snap. I'm alright with us taking this kid.

Could Drew Vest be hinting at a commit from Stromberg?

Stromberg committed to staff yesterday, going public today. Should sign tomorrow.

National guys like Steve Wiltfong saying this is a really big pickup. Somebody better check on Dale, he’s gonna be so pissed we signed a 4 star OL

Lol figured the offer list would come up, underwhelming for sure.

Prior to this year he played OT and was 6’4 320. At the Nike Opening he had the fastest shuttle time of anyone over 275 lbs and near the top with a 28 inch vertical. He cut down to 280 this year and played both ways starting at NT and OG. From his film you can see he dominated guys. Moved from around 1200th in the country to 600ish in November on 247, then this week moved up to #280 and a 4 star. Imagine the other sites would move him up a bit as well, Rivals still lists as a 2 star and at the 320 weight so they haven’t updated in awhile, I’d imagine they will bump his ranking at some point soon

I can’t link the article bc it’s a subscription but Bruce Feldman has a good article up today on the Athletic about how hard it is for college recruiters and services to rate offensive linemen. This isn’t just a Chad Morris issue.

quote:

This week when your favorite team announces its signing class, or when you hear about the four- or five-star recruit that your school did or did not get, remember this number: 2.4. That is the average star ranking of the 15 offensive linemen voted to the Pro Bowl last year who were evaluated in the era of the recruiting star system. None of them were ranked as five-star prospects; four were four-star guys — the same number as there were zero-star player

Also he plays at a school in OK that produces a bunch of D1 athletes. I don't believe he is playing against scrubs. I think it is one of the higher classifications in OK.
