Capps played a lot. I don't see any issue with him playing. Hammonds is the only one I question from last year.

I saw Capps play about a series per half and on Special Teams (FG protection and maybe block?). I question Hammonds as well. Grayson Gunter is another one I question.

He definitely played more than a series per half. Gunter is a good one too though. I think we would have been fine not playing him. Although, I would tend to blame that one more on O'Grady and Gragg than Bielema.

We did drop Ryder. He wasn't even starting on his HS team.

Ryder will be attending another SEC school. Now I understand that OM is also struggling this class, but he would be nice depth to redshirt and try to develop which you need to do to succeed here. He's a borderline D1/ maybe SEC prospect. If he doesn't work out, you find him an "opportunity" elsewhere and a scholarship opens.

Desi Sills could be that kid that turns our bball program around. Underrated for sure.

I'm drunk.

If you're a borderline D1 prospect, You're not SEC caliber. We've taken those types a million times and they always graduate without impact or transfer out.

I agree but the fact that we can't even hold on to borderline SEC talent should tell you something about ole Roy.

Didn't Segrest come from Troy, or am I disremembering that?
May be used to recruiting Troy level players.

To be fair he got the job after pushing Pittman's line around all game in Little Rock.

That stadium is nothing but a curse that continues to give the gift of embarrassment on a yearly basis in so many ways.

Uhhhh...no. That may be true under Bert, but I can name a few examples right off the top of my head of guys who were big successes here that came in with either no FBS offers or almost no FBS offers. Chris Gragg had an offer from us, Memphis, and a few FCS schools. Jamaal Anderson was a 2* WR that became a top ten pick at DE. Jake Bequette had two FBS offers.

ETA: I'm not saying you should load up on these types of guys because obviously you shouldn't. However, there is nothing wrong with taking a couple and trying to develop them. Sometimes they work out.

If we are going to stretch and take a chance on a development player this year, I wouldn't mind taking B.J. Thompson from England. You just can't afford to do that kind of chance taking very much in the SEC though.

Looks like David Porter is about to commit to the Hogs. He just decommitted from CSU and changed his Twitter pic to him in Hog gear. I'm guessing we snuck him in for a visit this weekend because he's wearing the anthracite helmet in the pic.

So should we continue to melt about Troy James?
