Sounds like Kenny Young is picking A&M?

Frick, Sumlin is a heck of recruiter. I hope to hell this doesn't happen. For an offensive guy, he sure is a baller recruiter when it comes to defense.

Nice and early. At least I might be able to get some work done in the afternoon this way.

I'm so lazy right now. I'm supposed to be working on a 20 page project that is due tomorrow and yet here I am. I'm about 60% of the way done so I figured I could take a little break that is going on almost 2 hours now.

Random question -- anyone know the situation on Tyler Hayes? Are we going to offer him?

Solomon Thomas, DE, Coppell (Texas)

Announcement: 8 a.m. EST- National Signing Day
Current Thomas Crystal Ball: Stanford (86 percent)

Expert Picks

Adams: Stanford. "Even with his sister at Arkansas, nothing has occurred down the stretch to make me think Thomas goes anywhere but Stanford. He has worked hard in the classroom to be admitted into Stanford, a program that offers an academics/athletic combination that is tough for any school to beat."

Bartow: Stanford. “I think Stanford has been the leader here for the last for or five months. Academics is big with him and no place has a better combination of football and academics than Stanford. Arkansas made a big push and finished second.”

Shurburtt: Stanford. “The Cardinal remain my pick here because they’ve been the strongest the longest. That being said, Arkansas has put up a real fight. Thomas’ sister is in Fayetteville and there are other family connections. If I get more information that points toward the Hogs, I could easily switch this between now and deadline on Wednesday.”

Simmons: Stanford. “I’ve felt for a while that it was a matter of time before Thomas picked The Cardinal. With his recruiting coach Mike Sanford gone and his potential defensive coordinator Derek Mason off to Vanderbilt, does that change the game for Stanford? I don’t think it does. Academics are important to Thomas and I think he’s Palo Alto bound.”

Wiltfong: Stanford. "In what looked like a runaway at one point has become interesting between the Cardinal and Arkansas but with Coach Shaw at the top of the program in Palo Alto, Stanford has the culture Thomas is looking for both on and off the football field."

I prefer this kind of news. Just barely an off chance we land him. I'll prefer to keep thinking this way until the kid signs somewhere. If it's somewhere else I won't have DGB melted down if he signs here i'll pretend I'll go tell everyone how awesome recruiters our coaches are.

Sumlin is just the first Aggie coach in forever that is capitalizing on Aggie's immense recruiting advantage.

Young is from Louisiana.

Their best recruit is from Arizona.

I really feel like we have a good shot with him, he seemed to genuinely enjoy his visit.

We're not getting Thomas, ~10% chance, hate to say no chance but it's pretty much that.
