Not impressed with what I've seen out of Frazier. Doubt he finishes at Bama. Actually glad we're not wasting a scholie on him.

He may prove me wrong. I just don't see the big deal about him from the video of him I've seen.

I wouldn't be shocked at all if we got Edgar Cerenord and he has a better career.

Solomon Thomas update from Ohio State's 247 site:

quote:

Certainly one of the Buckeyes’ top remaining 2014 targets is defensive end Solomon Thomas (Coppell, Texas/Coppell). Last week Thomas named the eight schools still on his list, Stanford, Ohio State, Texas, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Baylor, Alabama and Arkansas. He said Stanford and Arkansas will definitely get official visits and he is trying to decide on the others. Thomas also mentioned that he considers seven of the schools to pretty much be even with Baylor being a tad behind the other seven. This all caused some Ohio State fans to worry that the Buckeyes are slipping with Thomas – the thought previously being that Stanford and Ohio State were on top with Texas a close third.

With all that in mind I did some more checking with a couple of my best sources. And I was told that in the end, Thomas is not going to select Arkansas. The feeling also remains that the three schools at the top continue to be Stanford, Ohio State and Texas with Stanford holding a slight edge and Texas a pretty certain No. 3 right now. And finally I asked if the Buckeyes will get one of those remaining official visits, and the answer was “very likely.” Remember, Thomas has been to Ohio State. In fact most notably he went home very impressed after being here in Columbus the weekend of Oct. 26 for the Penn State game.

That blurb does more to make the author look a complete idiot than anything else.

If Arkansas is out of it, why is he pissing away an official there when he could go to OSU who is obviously in his top 3 according to that guy.

Either way I figure he plays in Palo Alto

Most outsiders think he's just taking the Arkansas visit because his sister goes here.

I'm not pissing away an official to a school I am not interested in to see my sister @ 18 yrs old, when I can drive 5 hours and see her. Sister's aren't that important.

You have to admit every team's writer has to give the homer spin in their articles for some reason on these recruiting sites.

Long for the days when NSD happened, the next day the signing class was listed in the paper with a short bio, measurements, and other offers for the player, then you had to make your own determination as to if it was a good class or not.

But we live in a spoon fed society.

So how does this dumpster fire of a season affect our recruiting? Does BB overcome and bring in the talent?

Going to make it a harder sell.
I don't think we get quite the talent we would have had we improved on last years record and made a bowl.
We just HAVE to get some back 7 help somehow, somewhere...
