Bolden not athletic Crimsonclover? Your an idiot. You think he’s in that position because of what? He would e be starting already at pretty much any other school

My biggest concern is exactly what Georgia and UT did defensively. They schemed to take away the deep threat, to keep everything in front of them and make us drive the field. It worked for the most part but Mac and Sark adjusted and took the medium and short stuff all day. Mac got greedy with the forced throw to Metchie but John bailed him out with a great catch. If we’re honest, that ball should have never been thrown.

But my main point is with Waddle gone, we can’t take the top off the defense at will like we’ve been used to. Defenses will scheme to take Smitty away from us by bracketing him and take their chances with Metchie and the 3rd guy. That 3rd guy needs to be a deep threat for Bama to maintain the explosiveness. Metchie has proven he can hurt you, but I don’t think he’s convinced opposing DC’s he can be the kill shot yet. We need a 3rd option and I don’t think Bolden is it. Bolden can definitely be the Julian Edelman type option but I’d feel better someone who is more of deep threat. Otherwise, we adjust to more methodical drives with the occasional over the top bomb instead of it being a constant threat.

We can absolutely win every single game without taking the top off. The intermediate stuff will win us plenty of games.

As good as Metchie is, outside of one long ball, UGA contained him pretty well. Smitty, while amazing, can only do so much and can’t be the only guy getting consistent separation, or we will have a tough time keeping drives alive. Let’s hope Javon Baker is the real deal that practice reports have indicated.

Baker is the real deal, comparable to Metchie.

I see him and think of Hunter Renfroe.
Well they are both white and similar size; other than that not sure of the similarities except that neither is fast. Renfrow is a better receiver, Bolden likely a better athlete. Renfrow has much better hands. HR is a bit faster 4.59 vs SB 4.69. Renfrow is a better route runner, though Slade can improve.

Bolden will be fine. He’s a gym rat with a high motor. Faster than he looks.

If you got that from ESPN, that’s from his sophomore year of high school.

Hey buddy.

You talk to Slade since the game?

If so, how'd he feel about his increased role?

I told my kids on Saturday after he caught a long pass that I partied with his uncle in Mexico.

I actually have a lot. It's weird.

One of my cousins is former Brewers and Royals manager, Ned Yost.

After he retired from baseball in the 80s, he and his wife Debra moved onto our street. For Halloween that year I went as Mark Grace, the Cubs first baseman. I asked Ned what was the most home runs you hit in a season and he said 7. I said, Mark Grace hit more than that.

Fun fact, before Jeff Blauser got Ned his job as the catching coach with the Braves he was working as a taxidermist.

Now he's a World Series winning former manager.

Rod Rutledge used to come over to my house and play Nintendo and Sega. Then he went on to play TE at Bama and was the first tight end picked in the draft in 98 I believe. The Patriots got him. Haven’t talked to him since high school

Yeah.

My brother's soccer team won the Mississippi select state championship in 1994 so we went to the Regional tournament in Houston that year. Lo and behold the Braves were in town playing the Astros so went went to the game. We showed up early and Ned was working in the pen. We went down and Greg Maddux ended up coming over. He showed my brother and I how to throw a curve.

Ned also got my two brothers and me personally signed baseballs from Hank Aaron. Mine says, to "TideSaint" best wishes, Hank Aaron.

ETA: I also met Donald Trump in Trump Tower in 1990.

If I was cool, we’d still hang out.

Played a huge backyard football game and Rod and his older brother Wallace (who played for UAB) was on the other team. I caught a short little pass, and it looked like a damn eclipse was coming my way. I ran scared. Rod and his brother didn’t catch me, but some shite had a good angle and about shoved me over the fence.

I was also front row at a WWE wrestling event in Atlanta. We got in trouble for having a butcher paper sign that said, “having a big dick ain’t easy”. This was around 99. Gangrel spit “blood” on the girl I was dating. They snuck over and told her how to wash it out
