So how do you guys think we adjust to Waddle going out? Is it mostly Bolden? See any other guys getting some time?

See the TEs more involved.

I think Bolden will be solid.

Baker came in right before the half. Holden got in later.

The Joker to Robin combination will be fun to watch.. I enjoyed it tonight. Bolden will be just fine and playing slot is his spot.

Bolden looked to be serviceable at worst out there today. I expect him to excell going forward.

Bolden

Probably end up a little less explosive, but still more explosive that most everyone else.

Bolden looks good. Obviously not threat to score on any play waddle is, but very good. Smith and metchie are both excellent. We still have the best receivers

There was already a lot of 2 TE sets when Waddle was healthy. I’d expect a good bit of those and some more rotation at 3 than previously. No one in college is as explosive as Waddle, so there really isn’t anything you can do to replace him.

Metchie.... Kid is good. So Offense will still hum. Baker, Bolden, and other will step in.

I think Sark should at least look at moving Smittie back into the slot and bringing one of the young guys in for the outside. We can create more matchup problems that way and dictate coverage on our best receivers.

Kedrick James would be a help, but apparently he was crazy.

Arik Gilbert or Darnell Washington either one would be a big help. Hate it we whiffed on both those guys- they both look really good.

I’ve been underwhelmed by Bolden so far.

Surely we’ve got a receiver that poses more of a threat. I mean between his fumble, his drop, and his lack of size and athleticism...

I’d like to see whoever our fastest or biggest receiver is out there.

I can forgive the fumble. Hard to hold on to it when a defender punches it squarely like that. And the TD drop man that ball was coming in hot. BY fired the hell out of that thing. Otherwise Slade had 6 catches for 94 yards. Pretty solid.

Good lord. Slade wasn't expecting to play much in the game. He'll get better. All he has to do is do his job and that's it.

It's been mentioned multiple times that Slade is very good at finding gaps and slipping through areas on routes from the slot. It's not as great an explosive threat as Waddle, but he clearly adds a comfort blanket aspect.

We'll see how what we scheme for next weekend with a full week of time knowing Waddle is out.

Hate to look too far ahead, but a potential rematch with UGA just got a whole lot more interesting with Waddle out for the year. They have the only defense that can really affect our offense, and Waddle was by far the best player on the field when we played them. Obviously, the way he stretched the field will be hugely missed and I don’t know if we have anyone that can come close to doing it with the consistency that he did.

Prayers for the young man, he will be sorely missed. Go get healthy JW17.

Yep, it's a big loss against Georgia if we end up with them in Atlanta. Makes us much more mortal for a defense like that.
