How on earth are we a 21 pt. favorite this weekend???
Well because of the guy some on here love to hate (Jalen Milroe) and the 17-year old we're blessed to have (Ryan Willams).

Bama will win if they can find a defense by Saturday.

South Carolina has the best running game we'll have seen to this point. They rank something like 36th nationally.
If they've been watching film they'll notice that you can gouge us with simple B gap runs. Vandy was hitting those for 10-15 yards a clip, especially running left. We've shown no ability to stop the simple and basic run game.
I can't say that I've watched SC play at all, so I don't know if they can deliver the way Vandy did. Though, it's hard to believe that any competent SEC can't run a B gap running play effectively.
I think Bama wins a tough one. We're about to find out what the mental makeup of this team and staff looks like. If they look bad or lose again, look out.

Totally agree. If we look bad against USCe then things may go south even faster. DeBoer may not be the person to lead this program.

It would help if we change out #11 or just send him on blitzes and deal with consequences because he is an absolute cheat card for opponents when he lines up and has to sit, read than make the play

I anticipate a close game at the half and SC eventually shooting themselves in the foot enough that we pull away. Sellers and Sanders are good runners and we haven’t proven we can consistently make 1 on 1 tackles. They will extend some drives in that regard.
I don’t think Sellers is as heady or accurate as a guy like Pavia though. I’m not sure SC has a “perfect game” in their arsenal.
They do have some havoc players on defense though, so it’s similarly likely that we cough the ball up. There needs to be a plan with dealing with Stewart from the opening kickoff. Don’t wait until he knocks milroes head off to “make an adjustment.” He has to be identified on every play.

We can’t stop the run and can’t really rush this QB. We will win if the offense plays flawless.

We will have to out score them, the warning signs are all there for this weekend

They have 2 good running QBs, one of which is Robby Ashford.
They are last in the SEC in allowing sacks. Bama has got to get after their QB on pass plays and when he runs the ball.
My guess is that they don't do a lot of traditional pass plays, which is what they did against Kentucky and that's also their best win of the year (31-6). They passed it 15 times in that game.
I don't feel great about this game. I'm not sure I can feel great about any conference game until Wommack is fired.

Yes, bigly. I have faith that Vandy galvanizes this team and leaders emerge, even if the coaches stay checked out.

Worse case scenario than DeBoer getting fired year 1 would be DeBoer turning it around, making the playoffs, perhaps winning a title, and choosing to leave because our fanbase from top down are fricking morons.

Saban teams always bounced back strong, but Saban teams didn’t lose to Vandy. That said, I’m hopeful the staff and team learned some things in Nashville.

They can but if they’re going to they have to have a much better defensive effort and SC has a legit front 7 and better pass rushers than Georgia so our OT had better have their crap together.
