When the defense gets this poor - the losses can be blamed on Saban

Regardless of Defensive Coordinator, Bama has put championship-type players and scheme on the field while Saban has been there. Maybe not perfect, but consistently good.

We can bitch about BOB all we want but Bama’s offense put the team in a position to win and was let down by this sorry excuse of coaching. It’s not the first time.

You can blame Golding all you want as well, but the ineptitude from the players this year (who I don’t blame), from insane/non-thinking penalties, to numerous PI calls per game, to being in the wrong scheme to allow big plays, is 100% on Saban.

For years, all we heard was HIS defense is what Bama runs - well, his defense is awful now - with talent all over the field too. I will be willing to bet most of this D will play in the pros.

I’ve never wanted to blame Coach for much, but it may be time for him to think about retiring. Things are slipping him by and it is becoming more and more obvious.

We refuse to coach DBs to turn and find the ball. It costs us every game.

I will give him the benefit of the doubt. Give him the off season to make changes. If he doesn't then yeah then we have a problem.

We heard the same thing in 2013 and he changed it up. Saban unlike most coaches is willing to change

Coaching is shite obviously. I don’t care what anyone says or what the recruiting rankings say though, We do not have the same quality players that we had in years prior. Any team from 2008-2020 would whip these boys by 4-5 TD’s.

Saban looks lost not sure he can reinvent the wheel again. his only hope is finding 2 coordinators who will do it for him while he’s the figure head

Golding was pure shite in 2019 - no changes

Golding was pure shite in 2020 but benefitted from Sark producing tGOAT offense - no changes

Golding was pure shite in 2021 - no changes

Golding is still pure shite in 2022 and you want to give the benefit of the doubt? The drunk hobbit is here until Saban retires. Might as well accept it.

This is just recent too. I don’t recall Humphrey, Haha, Collins, Milner, Fitzpatrick, Kirkpatrick, Jackson, Jones, etc having these issues.

It is absolutely lost on Coach now.

This defense is solely attributable to Golding. This is a Golding defense.

You can blame Saban for keeping him around, but every DC we've had has put their own defense on the field

Saban had the golden with-cause opportunity to get rid of Golding and didn't. Golding stays and BOB stays if he can't find another job.

Watching UGA play defense today vs watching us play tonight was like night and day. We got real problems.

Poor coaching and cooking with ingredients that are not at the level of previous Saban teams.

Again, Kirby is taking a lot of the talent that Bama used to get. Now, that talent is being spread around. Saban is not able to hoard like he did.

Saban will go out when he wants, and hopefully, retools with coordinators to make another run before the end.

But, the landscape has changed. Kirby will be at Georgia and will be consistent every year. Tennessee will be a hard out and win 10 games a year most likely because they will be able to put up points as long as Heupel is there; maybe sneak into Atlanta once a blue moon. LSU will be more consistent. Auburn will eventually get things headed in the right direction - not championship-level, but a consistently hard out.

NIL and the portal will bring parity back to the sport. Already has to an extent, but it will continue.

Saban looks tired and sounds tired. Maybe he'll do it five more years, maybe not, but when the time comes, I hope Kiffin gets a hard look. Sark is at Texas and isn't leaving. Alabama is going to need an edge and, say what you will, but Kiffin can make an offense go. Put him at Bama with a good defensive coordinator and NIL, and Bama stays competitive and doesn't go back into the wilderness quietly a la post-Bryant.

I totally agree. Fresh ideas and a young attitude is needed.

Bama looks tired and old. I just don’t know if Coach has it in him to make the needed changes . . . again.

You know...we blitzed tonight, blitzed in a gap. Blitzed to make the running back go into the gap we wanted him to go into. Then what does our free player do? The one that is supposed to make the tackle? He goes in the same damn gap we blitzed into.

They aren't coached very well. If he was coached to do it correctly and he did it wrong then he needs more corrective coaching until he doesn't get it wrong.

On one offensive play call Bob sent Brooks to the o left and the rb to the o right. Then he sent 2 receivers out. It was a 2 receiver route play call. What dumbass sends just 2 receivers out??!! He thought like a mf moron that the 2 deep safeties would be fooled by the misdirection and then sent the 2 receivers deep. The 2 deep safeties weren't fn fooled and Bryce had nowhere to throw the ball except to Brooks for a minimal gain.

We are dealing with fn geniuses, geniuses.
