I'd flip Missouri & Vandy but honestly that looks about right.

Regardless of the piss poor effort we’ve seen from players and coaches in debose’s tenure, the ceiling is still 9 wins.
However it’s more likely we lose 7 than hit that ceiling unless some big changes happen. I’m not holding my breath on debose making changes.

Steak of home game wins goes down this year, too.

You’ve forgotten losing to South Carolina and Northern Illinois by multiple scores at home, annual beatings by Tennessee, playing LSU tough only to lose by double digits and the annual loss to Auburn.

I can absolutely see us having 7 or 8 losses.

I don’t wanna be doom and gloom but I see 6-6 or 7-5.

We lose all the road games plus LSU @home.

What we have as well as many other programs is a roster full of pay me players. We're just another program that has to go buy players now. They really don't give a shite since they will get the check regardless. The roster is completely out of balance and has been for 5-6 years. It will not be corrected. Alabama football as we knew it is over.

People just refuse to grasp this. These guys couldn't care less about getting embarrassed and losing. They are getting $$$$. Mix in recruiting ranking services which also are worthless, Bama is full of over rated and overpaid Prima Donas
Most are too dumb to realize they’re killing their NFL chances by not developing at the collegiate level.

Absent serious improvement in the trenches this team won’t win 5 games.

We the weakest team up front on both sides of the line I think I’ve seen Bama put in the field. And I’m 63.

I think coaches are afraid to yell at guys in the weight room anymore.

Barring the other team have debilitating injuries, my guess is probably not. That's why 7-5 is the ceiling.

These losses aren’t in a vacuum either. What happens to team morale if we lose to UGA & Vandy. We face UT, South Carolina, LSU, and OU in a row. High probability that we see this team check out. We could literally be this year’s 2024 FSU if things don’t turn around.

I’ve seen comparisons to the Shula years in terms of coaching but one gigantic difference is we had guys ( especially on defense) like Jarrett Johnson and Waine Bacon who genuinely cared and NEVER, EVER gave up on a play or a game.

I was young and could be wrong but I seem to remember Shula's teams were in almost every game until the 4th quarter when the depth started to show, right? I seem to remember two games where we were flat out whipped and that was 2005 Auburn and 2006 LSU. But the rest, it seemed like we were at least competitive until the end.

I don't buy this. Ohio State, LSU, Oregon, Texas.. All these teams have players getting paid and they play hard to win as a team. Coaching is the difference.

Those teams also had players who cared and played for UA because they genuinely wanted to. Those players committed to us in the depths of probation and coaching turmoil.

No we are in the portal/NIL era. The players aren’t exactly looking to write their name on crimson flame.

They aren't even thinking that far ahead. Most of them don't even have the IQ to plan past December.

Husky Harsin will beat one of UGA, UT, or LSU just because he isn’t supposed to and has a good ability to get his players jacked up for 1 game. On the flip side, he will turn around and lose to a Mississippi State the very next weekend.
We have hired Bill Curry v. 2.0

Sept. 27 at Georgia
Oct. 4 VANDERBILT
Oct. 11 at Missouri
Oct. 18 TENNESSEE
Oct. 25 at South Carolina
Nov. 1 OPEN
Nov. 8 LSU
Nov. 15 OKLAHOMA

This stretch will determine DeBoer’s future at Alabama. We get blown out by UGA and lose again to Vandy, you’ll see guys start to check out completely. Really good chance the wheels could already be all the way off by the time we play Auburn.

Shula coaching this team would not have lost yesterday. His teams played their asses off. Shula could have been a good to great coach here without the sanctions.

The defensive effort yesterday was atrocious and it forced Ty to have to play perfectly. Offense went away from the run game too quickly, we should have kept playing ball control instead of trying to get into a shootout with Gus.

Two ways to stop Gus: win first down and keep his offense off the field so that they can't get into a rhythm. We failed to do either.
