Obviously all top 4 losing would work but what are the most likely options we should keep an eye on?

TCU or Ohio State winning on Saturday. That's it.

If TCU beats Oklahoma, I'd bet my house we're in.

If Ohio State beats Wisconsin, they'll decide between Bama and OSU for who gets the last spot. Most people give Bama a slight edge.

Need Fresno State to beat Boise State again (Fresno beat them last week) so they'll stay ranked and be a ranked win.

Need Auburn to win so our only loss will be to a playoff team

Long story short; if two of the top four lose, we are definitely in.

If one of the top four lose we have as good as 60/40 chance of making it in.

If none of the top four lose. We play outside of the playoffs.

Are you trolling?

Two biggest things:

1. TCU win
2. Ohio State win

Other things that would help - Fresno St win their CCG, maybe Auburn winning to make Bama's one loss look better, maybe Clemson winning to ensure they don't slip in with Miami for some reason.

This is false. Even if Clemson AND Auburn lost and then Wisconsin and Oklahoma won we wouldn't get in. The two teams that won those games (Georgia and Miami) would get in.

We need either Oklahoma or Wisconsin to lose, preferably Oklahoma or both obviously.

Personal opinion, but I don't think it happens regardless of the outcome of championship games. GA or AU are in. This committee is not going to allow 2 SEC teams in, nor 2 from any conference. This playoff system picked by committee was established to make sure Bama v LSU never happens again. The only outside shot is a TCU win over OK. But even then, I expect this committee to jump someone from another conference into the playoffs.

They've gone on record multiple times stating the exact opposite. They have no problem letting two teams from a single conference in. For that matter, they ranked Fresno and put us 3 spots ahead of Ohio State. They've set us up nicely.

No, they were established to select the 4 best teams to be in the College Football Playoffs. That is what they're charged with.

Who? Using your no 2 teams from the same conference stance, and assuming the SEC Champ, ACC Champ, and B1G Champ are in if TCU wins, then the only possibilities would be TCU or USC, with OU still having an outside chance. Neither of those with two losses are getting in over 1 loss media darling and ratings drawing Alabama.

Hey, I'm with you on hoping Bama gets in. I can't argue any of your points. I just don't think it will happen. The committee chair guy said Bama and OSU were very close, setting the place for OSU to jump over the Tide should OSU beat Whiskey. I hate that losses have so little impact on the playoff. I will be happily surprised if Bama gets in.

The country has Bama fatigue.

We didn’t help that by shitting the bed against a 2 loss team.

Only ONE way we get in. They have absolutely no other choice.

Look at it from the standpoint that Alabama represents the most intriguing match up for any other 3 teams to play in the playoff.

Clemson? Yeah like they wouldn’t love Bama/Clemson 3.0

Auburn? Potential Iron Bowl rematch in Atlanta? Two SEC championships in one year? Cash money.

Oklahoma? They spanked us last time we played like they wouldn’t love to see another rematch?

Whike Ohio State has some scores to settle as well, we are a bigger name and frankly we didn’t get whipped by anyone nearly as bad as them, let alone an unranked nobody

The country may have bama fatigue, but I think the committee gave OSU an in last yr and they got blown out by clemson. Bama won't get blown out. That may count for something.

All of the media even local are saying OSU is in with a win based on last night's committee chair comments.

I will keep myself occupied sunday, and check in here.

I was optimistic until last night and today.

Hope we get in.

If AU, TCU, and Wisconsin win then we’re definitely in. If OSU wins it’s not a guarantee we would be in. AU winning is helpful because our only loss would’ve come to the no.2 team instead of whatever they would be ranked if they lost.

That being said there’s a decent chance we don’t get in. OSU has looked bad at times this year and Barrett may not be healthy. Also I think Oklahoma is much better than TCU solely because of Mayfield.

Only one team can guarantee we are in. That isn TCU, doing the impossible and beating Oklahoma.

If Ohio State wins big we are not in. If they win a close one over Wisconsin we have a legitimate shot above average shot.

1.TCU win we are 100%

2.Ohio State win by less than 10 points 80%

3.Ohio State blowout win 25%

But we need Fresno State to win just in case we get into that Ohio State debate

TCU win over OU is the most beneficial.

If TCU wins, then we root for Wisc & UGA too.

Best scenario is for TCU, Wisc, UGA, Stanford & CU to all win. Then CU, UGA, Wisc & Bama are definitely in.

The AU, OU and OSU melts would be glorious.

Best for UGA, Wisc, Bama and Miami to be the top 4. But, if Miami barely beats CU, we could get edged out by CU for the #4 spot.

Not one single part of this is true. Not one single part.

Regarding the second sentence, Bill Hancock has repeatedly said the task of the committee is to select the 4 best teams. There is no restriction on that task, be it geographical, conference-wise, or anything else.
