What do I hope Alabama fixed this week on Defense and Offense? These two break down videos will show you where we have had coaching decision issues and player assignment issues. They are not one time issues and on defense not even one year issues.

Folks have placed a ton of blame on the OL in this game, rightfully so. However, Bryce needs to step into the pocket. He has an issue with that at time.

I haven't watched it all but on offense. The guy thinks that BoB is still running Sark's offense and not his own which is causing issues.

ETA: Some talking points.

- Damieon George gets reamed including 7 men protection fronts.
- Auburn played man coverage all game.

Cliffs

Offense - blocking on the LoS. Highlighted plays where RT's got abused and how the line as a whole was not capable of resetting the LoS. Showed how LB were free to run sideline to sideline because the OL could not get past the DL to even attempt to block or get in the way of the LB's scrape and fill. DL tended to reset the LoS 2 yards in the Alabama backfield. showed how aTm keyed on specific formations to launch blitz packages that Alabama was never able to stop.

Defense - 2 by 2 bunch formations used to make Alabama use a cloud coverage that put the CB in a bind where he had to choose to cover one of two WR's in his area. No mater which he chose, he was wrong and someone left open. Used 12 set with WR shifting in tight so the WR could run a dump route with nobody there to cover him. aTm did that and it was a copy of UGA doing it the year before and our DC had still not fixed the issue. LB's keying on TE movement to take themselves out of the plays - UF and aTm did the exact same thing and it worked almost every time. DC never fixed the issue.

By now I don't think he ever will fix that or the numerous other issues with our defense. I hope he finds another job.

BOB more or less said as such in his opening press conference.

He didn't install his offense, he adjusted to the system in place.

It comes down to knowing what you’re capable of as opposed to we are running the plays until we get it right. Either we produced a game plan that adjusts for the best defense in college or we run the same stuff and have to produce an absolute awesome game from Bryce in the 4th quarter. We shall see.

Hate to breath it to you, but you can't fix major issues in a week at this point in the season. It is what it is.

Wrong answer. Concepts, assignment tweaks, formation modification can all be done on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday. Some form of that happens most every week.

Right answer (well to some extent) for the RT being destroyed. If we assume we are not going to be able to run right with much success unless we add an additional blocker to help the tackle...then we can go to a lighter/longer RT for pass protection. Our road graders at right tackle can't seem to grade the road and do not have the athletic ability to pass pro a speed rusher.

Would it work? No clue but I doubt it would be much worse than what we have now. Forcing an edge speed rusher to go one step wider would give BY the extra time needed to get the ball out for catch&run design plays.

We have people who still defend Golding and the guy is suppose to be a genius but they have keyed into a mismatch and a hole in his calls and exploit them.

Then we have BOB who doesn't even know how to attempt to create a mismatch or exploit a defense tendency.

Hope and pray today.

So Nick Saban has no input into the Bama defense anymore?

Okay and you're a broken record defending Golding at every moment.

Remove him from your mouth
