Happened last year. Bama, Florida, LSU and Georgia all went.
Rose Bowl: Penn St vs Pac-12 Champs
Sugar: Georgia vs Baylor
Orange: Bama vs Virginia
Cotton: Florida vs Memphis/ App St/ Boise St
Peach: LSU vs Clemson

No matter who we play or what bowl we're in, there's a good chance season ends on a 2 game losing streak.
Because we're Bama we'll be favored.
It'll be the opponent's Superbowl. They'll be motivated & prepared to win the game.
Our Coaches & Players probably won't care as much.
They'll give interviews like they do but we've all seen this movie.

Let’s hope it’s more like the 2011 Capital One Bowl. A bunch of elite players wanting to go out with a big win after a devastating loss and disappointing season.

Good news is Ray, Sanders, Forristall, Dale and Reichard all should be back healthy.
Bama will basically be preparing for next year with all the juniors and seniors that will skip the game.

My brother goes to class with trey sanders he said he could have gone this weekend if needed to so he might play in the bowl game

My opinion call it a season. No reason for these consolation type of games. Especially when every NFL prospect we have will sit out.

Can't believe some of you actually think we shouldn't play in a bowl game. That is some back back bitch stuff right there. Boo hoo , we didn't make the playoff for the first time ever, so let's take our ball and go home, and end the season. Unbelievable.

The game doesn't really matter, what matters is these young players will have 15 extra practices and a glorified scrimmage to get better.

Yep.
See LSU. Sure it was their first NY6 last year but they lost 29-0 to Bama and lost their last game to aTm and still used their bowl game to build momentum for this year.

mac jones hung 31 points on that great barn d. more than anyone else this season. he done his job! did he make mistakes, yes he did. did he make anywhere near as many mistakes as the defense, absolutely not!
