This is true. We aren’t a 10-12 play drive team and it pisses me off. I like to break their will.
We had 3 drives of +9 plays against South Carolina.
Hard to break their will on offense when our defense gives up 4 drives of +9 plays and the fourth game in a row with at least one drive of 16 or more plays
We literally play offense to keep up

The defense is a bit inconsistent, but they're not as bad as everyone thinks.
TideSaint should ban anyone who says this stupid shite just because they don't like the QB for whatever reason and need to blame him for everything.
Our defense has given up 16 play drives in 4 straight games and teams have a 60-70% chance of getting a first down if they reach 3rd or 4th down the last 4 games.
Yeah this definitely ain't a big problem

Must not have been a fan of the '92 BAMA team
Bit of difference to talking smack the way they used to do vs the shite we've been doing on the field this year. Stallings likely sits Moore for the year for his shenanigans vs Vandy, bur more likely neutralizes the issue before its an issue. Sit and be pissed. Don't kick the ball and defy your coaches on national TV
We look and act closer to that Miami team right now than a Bama TEAM

Stallings … one of the finest men to ever draw breath BTW … didn’t have to deal with players making a jillion dollars and with the ability to freely go somewhere else if they don’t like the way you treat them.

Lassic used to fake heart attacks after TDs.
George Teague high stepped 20 yards on an Pick6.
How soon we forget. And to be clear, I don't mind the celebrations. I think mimicking gun fire is a touch much, but I haven't seen a BAMA guy do that.

Lots of teams give up long drives.
Milroe is scoring points for the other team and turning it over as many times as he scores.
The offense scored on 9/19 possessions on teams people swear are garbage.
Haynes runs scared.
Ouzts can't block for shite.
KLAW and Prentice can't get a sniff from Milroe when they're on the field.
Milroe can't adjust the line or audible.

South Carolina outplayed us the whole game. Their qb had a great game, except the late fumble that gave us the win. He ate our lunch the whole game both running and passing. The almost nine minute drive resulting in a td to start the second half was a work of art. At that point our chances were slim to none. We did win similar to three or so games last year.

First of all, let's understand that we're having a lot of bad luck recently related to untimely penalties and bad bounces.
For example, I can't remember the last time I saw a successful onside kick.
Many of us remember Tennessee 2009.
As far as clock management, some may think this is a radical idea, but it really isn't. Scoring the last touchdown almost cost us the game. You don't expect college kids to know that. But the coaching staff? Absolutely they should know. In that situation...3rd down with 2:00 left and SC with no timeouts remaining, during the timeout you have to be emphasizing to your offensive guys to get the first down, then get on the ground and stay in bounds. If they do that, we take a knee 3 times and run out the clock. 40 second play clock x 3 plays. Coaches have to be aware. It very nearly cost us the game.

The defense, in hindsight, actually played pretty well
They did fine but let’s be real - South Carolina’s offense is not good and they have a one dimensional QB.

100% different than what we are seeing.
Main point was Moore, who'd Stallings would have drug off the field by an ear hole.
Also, celebrating quickly with the team or high stepping into the end zone is a big leap behind of a choreographed little dance with friends when down to Vandy or struggling with USC e. Just move on and handle your business
Some of your apples are oranges my friend

No it's not. 92 BAMA celebrated just about every TD by dancing, or a group celebration.
Sherman Williams shake.
Lassic did a fricking cartwheel once.
More than once did they choreograph the heart attack celebration.
Get the frick outta here.
And it wasn't just 92 and it wasn't just BAMA.
Now... did they celebrate every 1st down or tackle for loss? No. Every sack? Pretty much. Watch the 92 SECCG for fricks sake.

How much celebration when down to a Vandy or this USC team. And, again, you are ignoring or glossing over the Malachi Moore issues. Which were the main point. And it is most indicative of a culture issue

quote:every possible positive play losing to Vandy or a horrible USC team, no. And, you know that. Did they run their mouths at fans. Did they kick the ball and refuse to come out when a coach was yelling at them?
did they celebrate
I get the sentiment, but it's very different.
Teague literally said he ran down Lamar Thomas and took the ball just so he wouldn't have to go back to the sideline with Coach Stallings knowing he was out of position

My point is that DeBoer is kinda like Sark and Kiffin. He needs a QB. His entire MO as a coach is based around the QB.
Milroe is the last guy he would've ever recruited at QB, and doesn't fit his system at all.
And yet Sark recruited him to play QB at Bama.....

But DeBoer ain’t Sark.

Exactly right.
Deboer is 2-0 vs Sark. Deboer had more success in two years at Washington than Sark had in 5. In fact, Sark never had a 10 win season while Deboer had two.
How did Sark do in his first season at Texas after inheriting a roster that consisted of three top 3 recruiting classes again? I'll give you a hint: Deboer will surpass his year one win total Saturday...

This is a well written comment. The writing style is outstanding. I do not agree with it entirely, but some good points were made. The biggest difference I noticed in the game was South Carolina was more physical than we were.

Milroe is HORRIBLE at throwing screens. Look at this bullshite. A ten yard play becomes a 3 yard play
This bubble is a great example but arguably his worst bad screen throw was on a jailbreak screen to Williams. It was the perfect call. We were running it right into their blitz. If Williams catches that in stride then we're talking about at a minimum a 20 yard gain but possibly a touchdown. Williams had a lot of blockers in front of him, the defense didn't have numbers due to the blitzers coming from the area of the throw, and we know how Williams had preternatural ability to work around the field.
Milroe has got to get better at executing these throws. The way teams defend offenses like this where the QB has a good deep ball arm and wheels is going to leave these bubbles open for cheap yards that move the chains. Notable because moving the chains consistently when the big plays aren't happening is the weakness of this offense.
