I would love for us to get in but it’s not going to happen. This sport is dominated by narrative. The dominant narrative is that SMU deserves to be in for their comeback and there’s no reason to believe the committee will buck the narrative. It’s over.

I originally thought 25% last Saturday with a SMU loss. Then after hearing Warde Manuel last Tuesday explain why we jumped Miami I thought 50/50. After UGA won I thought 90%……..then the worst possible outcome happened and now I think 10% chance

Duke is 9-3.

Duke went 9-3 in the ACC with a year 1 coach.

Wow, pleasantly surprised about that.
I'll keep my hopes low.

Especially from the Corndogs. To which my response will be:

"Thank you, LSU, for losing to Alabama.Thank you, LSU, for beating USCe.
Thank you, LSU, for beating Ole Miss.

"Had you not hit the trifecta -- had *any one* of those pieces been missing from the puzzle -- Alabama would have had zero chance of getting into the playoffs. More than anyone, LSU (even more than ourselves, to be honest), we have *you* to thank for being in the playoffs. And we appreciate it."

I'd expect them to win, but they haven't beaten a ranked team. They are 0-2 against currently ranked opponents - both of which are Georgia. The rematch looked competitive at least but that was against a backup quarterback. I don't know how much we can know about Texas given that cakewalk schedule.

Clemson went 10-3. Their schedule tougher than Tejas?
Clemson got the same scheduling cake as Tejas in the ACC. Tejas lost to uga by less margin (18) than Clemson (31) and they played them twice.
