How many if us under-rated this kid before the season? We all but gave the #2 spot to Henry. This kid is a baller.

Same I thought he was awesome last year in blowouts.
The Henry talk was because his was apparently a beast in spring practice before the injury.

I really liked him and thought Drake would probably be our number two but it would be a light two (would share a lot of #2 carries with other backs). He has become our #1b.

I was mostly worried about putting him in the offense so much, considering his suspensions.

I admit I thought he would remain that third guy that came in late in games. I thought one of the true freshman would blow up like Ingram and then Richardson and become the 2 immediately. In hindsight it's pretty crazy to assume that would happen. It's not that common and may become even less common as Alabama continues to stock the shelves with talent.

Speak for yourself on both accounts. I said I thought Drake would have a big role this year and that most of you were getting carried away with the Henry hype.

The dude went HAM last year, with very limited touches. Hard to say he surprised us all. But yeah, he surprised me. I also thought Henry would be more productive, but he is improving greatly.

Same here. When he committed I thought Drake would be good (not great). But when I watched his senior film I felt like he had made a huge improvement and was closer to being in TJ's league than people realized.

I am HAPPY to say that I was wrong about him!! When I saw him last year during mop up work, I thought he did so well because it was garbage time. He has certainly proven me wrong.

People were unsure of Drake because of his size; he's not a bulldozer like Trent or Lacy, but he doesn't need it due to his exlosiveness and speed.
I can't wait to see what he does against LSU.
