That was fun to watch. Hopefully I can get up there for a game before the season is over.

Nice crowd also.

They blanketed the town with free tickets tk all the games this weekend. My office had a bunch, wife’s office had a bunch, two doughnut shops in town were giving them away yesterday, etc. With 3 games tomorrow, it’ll be interesting to see what the crowd is like. With rain in the forecast and it being Easter, I’m guessing it’ll be sparse.

It was a good showing tonight, both with the team and fanbase.

At least there’s some promise going forward.

I went to a Birmingham Iron game a few years back (when they played Ole Ball Coach’s team) and there weren’t many people in the stands. Granted, the USFL is a bigger league and the game took place in old Legion Field…

I really hope that this works. Not sure that it will. Not many folks will show up for “other teams”

Cade Foster is apparently kicking for the Generals

Well, good for him. He wasn't gonna get a spot on the Globetrotters.

Why would they decide for every game to be played in Birmingham? Seems like an oddball strategy.

I think it’s to keep travel costs down on its first season. All of the players are living here in town. It’s an interesting concept.

From what I’ve read though, the stadium was woefully unprepared and concession lines were very, very long all game last night. That’s been an ongoing problem for years though at the arena next door. Sucks to see it spill over to the stadium.

It’s starting to storm here in Birmingham so I doubt there’s a big crowd today if they are able to even play any games. Doesn’t help that it’s Easter Sunday.

This has apparently been the case for every event at Protective. The first couple times you can chalk it up to learning, but they should be much more dialed in by now.

The Birmingham games will have pretty good crowds. The other games will have nobody.

This was a joke. I said this because the Generals kicker missed everything.(Except for a late clutch FG)
