My fam is going to be tailgating, probably close to the old LSU golf course. We aren’t heavy drinkers (byob) but anyone is welcome to stop by for some good old true Cajun made gumbo. Most likely chicken and sausage due to Sis-in-laws seafood allergy. Will update post on gameday with location if anyone is interested. UK vs UGA will be on the TV. Family tradition of welcoming opposing fans. Can’t wait for Saturday!

Edit: will update OP with a pin or at least some good directions on gameday

Update: We will not be on the old golf course but instead by the horticulture building across the street from swine palace (where LSU performs plays from the theater dept). It is on a street called tower drive. Tower drive is a tiny street that cuts from highland rd to south stadium drive.

Green circle is tower drive and green x marks our tailgate area. Tried to include stadium in map so that you would have a general idea. Also the LSU Ag center is called Parker coliseum which is across highland road from the horticulture building (at the intersection of highland and south stadium) so if lost ask someone how to get the the Ag building. Will try to post a daylight pic of setup tomorrow but not sure if system will be overloaded with data usage.

Again all are welcome. Actual csb, one of the guys in our tailgate crew is the official wazzu flag carrier for all college game days in br. BYOB but come hungry!

Have an upvote and thanks for the invite. Won’t be in Baton Rouge for the game but am as fired up for this one as any we’ve had in a while. Should be fun!

Also, I’d tell the SiL to bring a sandwich but for the fact chicken and sausage gumbo is excellent.

This is how all my LSU friends were. They did talk funny though :)

Someone needs to be excommunicated from the family. Thanks for the invite, enjoy!

Where is the old LSU golf course? I am staying with my cousin, and she lives in some apartments by a golf course close to campus.

Be wary if they have a separate gumbo pot for the Bama fans haha.

I'm not allowed as a fan to go to an Alabama/LSU game in BR anymore. Since 1970 Alabama has lost exactly 4 times in BR. I've been to 3 games there, all L's for the good guys.

I'm jinxed and wont go back until the day where we've already lost like 4 games in the season and really aren't playing for anything important.

I'm assuming she lives near the university club. That's where the LSU team plays and it's not very far from campus. There is also a "student course" on campus. The "old" golf course is across the street form the new course. In better terms it is in the grass lot across the street from walk on's on one side and the new alex box stadium on the other lol. Again, I will try to drop a pin or something on gameday.

I legit LOL'd at this one. Would be pretty darn funny. But I'll be using a 30 gallon cast iron pot ("dutch oven") so only one pot for us

Most are IRL, just like most Bama fans I've met in my 5 trips to Tuscaloosa are awesome. Sure I met a few bad eggs, but I have been invited into visiting tailgates at Bama 3 of my 5 trips.

When in college, I used to travel with a group that would sleep at the university's Baptist Collegiate Ministry. My first trip to Tusc, we got invited to a tailgate just outside of it and I had the BEST pulled pork I've ever had in my life.

Bama, Starkville, and Athens are my favorite SEC road trips. Bama and starkville have the best and most hospitable fans and Athens is just beautiful and really well set up (don't really care for dawg fans tho...they do indeed legit bark at you lol) Auburn would probably be up there too but sadly i've only made 2 trips...once when i was 12ish and once in college. Planning on heading there in 2020.

Yeah I think it's called southgate towers.

Cool, I'll be looking for the pin.

Also, my bro in law and I are trying to find a ride from NOLA to br on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning if anyone knows of anything. We are flying into NOLA on Friday morning.

Too bad the trains not ready yet. Worst comes to worst think a greyhound ride is only 10$...but the drop off area in Baton Rouge is...not pleasant lol
