Man, look at this news headline from UB Sports

Nine days after Nate Oats left UB to become head coach of the Alabama men's basketball team, UB no longer has any players committed to its 2019 class.

I’m not sure how I feel about that. I’m glad CNO meant so much to the players but it bothers me because you’re supposed to commit to a school not a coach.

I am so glad Oats was able to hang onto our commitments, that means a lot. We have a good class.

If we have to go to our 3rd/4th option, would be very pleased with that hire

I kind of feel bad for Buffalo fans. They have it rough enough dealing with the Bills and arctic like weather...now their basketball program has been raided like a pantry in the middle of night by big, bad Alabama.

Oh well. It’s just the nature of the beast. I’m definitely fired up with our new coaching staff. Oats will finally turn the tide for Bama basketball.

For context, I, of average athleticism, grabbed rim at 5'11 the other day and I'm 25lb overweight at 215.

If you grabbed the rim at 5'11", you don't have average athleticism. You would be above average. Certainly nothing special. But most people that are 5'11" can't grab the rim. Most people who spend a lot of time playing basketball at the HS level (let's say)... okay, maybe closer to average compared to those. But if you lined up 100 random people who are 5'11", 50 of them couldn't grab the rim.

I wouldn't say that.

I'm in the same boat, but it's times like this where you place the blame on the AD. Pat Beilien should've been the next HC at Buffalo or Yakich from Michigan.

There is a possibility of him coming back. The practice this week went well. They like the new coach and his plans for the upcoming season.

You keep posting things like this and people will think you're a true insider. The key to being an insider is to post something extremely vague and use terms like possibly or maybe so that you can claim to be right regardless. Well done.

I meant relative to D1 athletes. I can't even stay on the floor with them

But of course, the situation is fluid and could change...

Am I doing it right?

Yes, you are not an insider without the word fluid coming up .

How could I have forgotten to use fluid? That's crucial.

Lol. Nope I'm not insider. I'm a regular person with no ties. We have lot of mutual friends and the town is small... everyone knows everyone.

the Hville Madison area is not small with close to 400K people. It is not small and most people don't know everyone. Duh
