From a talent perspective, I expect both IU + Bama's minutes to be of similar caliber talent/"star power"

Again. Based on what?

Sure if you’re looking at the same caliber of coach. The dude has been very underwhelming in his 2 years there, and his third year is unlikely to be much (if any) better looking at what he’s lost and is gaining. Indiana isn’t a hard place to win at.

Drew DeArmond said about 40 minutes ago that Bucky and Watford are in Tuscaloosa right now.

Big 10 was the best conference in CBB top to bottom this season.

IU was 14-3 OOC w/ losses only to Duke + @Arkansas and wins vs Louisville, Butler, Marquette, Arkansas

Big10 was the toughest conference top to bottom in CBB this season and as I elaborate on below, IU had injuries in the middle of that grind.

Again. Based on what?

Their starting lineup likely is going to be somewhat similar to Bama's

- PG 4* Rob Phinisee JR
- SG 4* Armaan Franklin SO
- SF 4* Dameezi Anderson JR
- PF 4* Justin Smith SR
- C 5* Trayce Jackson-Davis SO

As I mentioned, I'm not positive that Kira Lewis will be in CBB in 2020 season. As a 6'3 athletic PG in a shooting offense, I can easily see him playing himself into the NBA lotto

IU hit the injury bug right as conference play started in earnest. Should be shocking that their midseason disaster coincided with 5+ players missing games due to injury.

So now it’s okay to use HS rankings?

Kira is a very talented guy, but he's also like 160 pounds, and a fairly catastrophic on-ball defender. He's offensively very talented, but even there he's not exactly what I'd consider a plus ball handler/passer (that's debatable I guess).

I guess he could be in the NBA in 2020, but we're talking a pretty big leap. Granted some of us thought Herb might be in the NBA after a few years, so this isn't the craziest take this board has seen.

LOL it's pretty hard to argue how good we'll be in 2 years with a totally different scheme and brand new coach. Who flippin knows.

I'm trying to fit your definitions.

I already said I only expect 3 guys to compete for starting jobs in 2020 from this current Bama roster. I wouldn't be shocked if 3-4 starters in 2020 haven't played a minute for UA yet

For IU, I actually really liked the potential of Phinisee, Smith and Durham. So if Jerome Hunter is healthy and Jackson Davis pans out they are dangerous

If Arkansas does hire Mussellman then that is probably a pretty solid hire.

I'm still feeling pretty good about we did, though. Honestly probably even a little better given that it shows again how difficult it is to hire an established big time coach, even at a school with a lot more tradition and infastructure like Arkansas.

As much as Watford is on campus and seems to care about Bama, it'd really suck for him to go elsewhere.

Apparently we interviewed Marshall yesterday in NYC and interviewed Musselman today. No one really knows what the frick is going on. Sampson still hasn't agreed to the extension which I figured would happened by the end of the day.

Hard to keep up but it sounds like people are excited about less "arse KICKING" and more "wieghtlifting" in the bball program

He definitely has to take a big step, I'm just saying if he does, he will be a draft risk

Yeah as much as he has been here makes me feel like in his heart he has always wanted to be at Bama but his mind knew just how awful Avery was.

It's been pretty well known that Watford had been looking for a reason to sign with Bama. He wants to play for Alabama...he just needs to know he'll be developed properly and there will be post season play.

When Avery was here those were obviously huge issues. Nate getting hired and the Wade debacle has really swung things back in our favor. Memphis is really our only worry.

Its gonna be interesting to see makeup of our team. Kira stays & Trendon signs on could be an exciting team flying under the radar in show time offense.
Who knows how our record will shake out 1st year but maximum effort will be there.

He is literally an Alabama fan

There is a video of Demarcus Cousins rooting for Bama during the Georgia National championship

Rockiee, Marshall is playing y’all. Kick him to the curb.

Musselman, I think you’re rolling the dice there.

Sounds to me like Sampson and your AD are playing poker and both are trying to bluff the other. Sampson is dragging his feet (wants more money or something?) so your AD meets with two names he can throw out there that are hot names right now to try and force Kelvins hand.
