Yea well we gotta pull Trendon first.

On paper that 2017 class was pretty damn good, though. Still can't believe we got Collin. His game vs the barn in the SEC tourney is still one of my favorite performances in a long time.

Gene I know Bama gets a lot of shite for FOG but Auburn has them too.

Eh, I'd make a distinction between alumni / sidewalk fans. Majority of alumni of both schools want any excuse to celebrate their school + rivalry, even if they are only passively interested in the sport.

The difference between the true AU/UA FOG #s is that UA dominates the non alumni crowd who treat Bama FB as a substitute for no AL professional team

Found a random article on Snowden. This guy sounds awesome. To go from Avery/DeNeen to Oats/Snowden will be like going from ramen noodles to ribeyes.

Look...I want success in basketball just as much as the next Alabama fan but there is no way in hell I'd make that trade. 8-10 game losing streak to Auburn...in football? Kill me now.

No, in basketball. I was just agreeing with his comment that it's ridiculous how a lot of Auburn fans would rather see them sweep us in basketball and go to the NIT than get swept by us and make the Sweet 16.

Is this actually a thing we should be concerned about or some random person on twitter spouting nonsense? I know he changed schools this year specifically to get his grades in order.

For a brief period of time yesterday, there was an announcement on the Maui Invitational website showing Alabama as one of the 2020 participants. It was later removed and should be considered unconfirmed.

IU was announced as one of the teams for the 2020 Maui Jim Maui Invitational. Joining the Hoosiers are Alabama, Davidson, UNC, Providence, Stanford, TX and UNLV via @indystar

We are the 2nd best team in that field.

I'd say likely 3rd behind IU/UNC

That field looks pretty weak though for a standard Maui. At least Chaminade isn't in there

Its a easy win for UNC if that is the field.

Probably, but there is a chance UNC is in a weird transition year in 2020

Normally UNC is great at having talented, experienced veterans + 1 and done caliber guys. There is a chance they end up with one of their youngest rosters in awhile

I love you, Gene, but sometimes you have too much Auburn in you.

I’d love to hear the reasoning on how you have IU ahead of us, when their NIT team is losing their far and away 2 best players to graduation and the NBA draft, and currently have the 41st ranked recruiting class to replace them.

We have a better 2019 recruiting class and will return most of our roster stacked with veterans in 2020. But I’m sure your reasoning is the same as every year: “I don’t think your year is next year. It’s the year after the next year”

Yeah but with shite for coaching, it hasn’t amounted to much. We can bring in a weaker class this year (arguably) but with the new staff, it will be a quantum leap from 2017. If only Oats had gotten a hold of Colin for a year or two. Wow.

I never thought I would say this, but it's a testament to our players that we were even a bubble team. They weren't coached and still won more than they lost.

You guys are really going overboard.

Those players are the same ones who quit. Same players who did little outside work to get better.
